why do guys???

Question

why do guys continually play mind games with girls? is it really neccessary? its not enough to know that a girl could be into you, you have to play mind games. why can't guys be straight up?

now, im not sexist, i know girls do it too, but not nearly as much as guys.
i'm just trying to get some insight as at why it is felt neccessary.

Its the head between their legs that is uncontrollable for them. You know sometimes you may just be seeking out the bad ones because you are looking to avoid those traits. Try just looking for good stuff like Funny guys, good listeners, etc.Then the other things (bad) won't seem so prominent.

Oh so you're just a little sexist is that it? This is the typical "why does the other gender..." question that paints every member of the opposite gender with your individual bad experience.

The undeniable fact is that we almost always get exactly what we're looking for. The problem is that people all too often lie to themselves about what they're looking for. If you keep choosing guys that are playing games then maybe you should take a hard look at your criteria for finding someone. I suspect that you think you're looking personality traits but when you really look you'll find that at the top of your list are some very shallow superficial qualities.

Improve your search criteria and you'll improve what you find. After all you're the one choosing them right?

I think there are two things that games fall under... one is age, obviously.

age... there is no better way to experiment with getting what you want or screwing around with what you want and dont want then playing with it. hence, the games... you wouldnt know, dont have experience so games fit. they are kind of necessary since they manipulate someones mind the way you want.

the other...

is depending on what they want. if they want a relationship, looking for someone to marry or looking for a long term relationship, most people do NOT play games. most people are honest, up front and a little smothering.

if they just want to see how far they can get, or how deep they can take it or how casual or serious they can have it, then the games begin.

All games are is a way to manipulate a situation.

Unfortunately, they never go away unless you are tied down, want to be tied down, or dead. ;)

Girls beat around the bush 24-7 always trying to make us read their minds. We don't play mind games...if we like a girl they will know. If we are not sure then we tend to show signs of it making you question what's up with the relationship/fling. Again IF WE LIKE YOU YOU WILL SEE AND FEEL IT. no game you just have to pay attention. Making us try to read your minds gets very annoying and it's a deal breaker for most.

I think its all perspective because from mine, girls do it more then guys, however I dont try to get with guys haha so I dont know thier patterns, its the same with you (I assume) so, I would just say that there are some annoying people out there that just arnt worth the time...

i've been single for a while, and its nice to get some perspective on your life before you get thrown back into the mix, just hang in there you'll meet a good guy eventually

Humans are all pretty much alike. If you let someone get away with something, they will take advantage. Mind games are played by BOTH sexes on each other. If you allow it to happen, then you are a victim. Don't accept nonsense in your life.

come on! why cant we all just say we want to **** and then do it? the reason people play mind games is 1. they are shy, or 2. they are afraid of rejection, or 3. society tells us that its not normal to be so straight forward, but i can assure you that the older you get the more forward people become. if you want him to know whats up, then tell him. all guys like it when a woman lets him know what she wants.

Read the book Men are from Mars, Women are from Venus. It will explain to you some of the differences in thinking between men and women. Some of the "games" you refer to are the result of the different perspectives that the two sexes have.

whatever, girls do way more mind games than guys. guys most of the time just get confused by girls' mind games, and end up doing dumb things, which makes girls think that they are playing mind games... i'm already confused

guys don't play mind games. their minds work differently than we females. most likely they are being straight up and it's the girls that are over-analyzing every move they make and every word they say. any mind games they do play is just because they really really want your approval, or are not completely confident with themselves.
