I agree this is almost certainly mold. There is a problem with dampness in the house this may be exacerbated by a lack of ventilation e.g. if there is a cooker/stove or means of boiling water which is not vented then the condensation will lead to dampness and mold growth. There could also be a problem with a leak form a pipe, ground water, faulty vapour barrier or perhaps a wick effect caused by bridging of the damp proof course either internally or externally e.g. debris below the floor or a large plant growing on the external wall.

Everyone is correct it is mold, you probably have a leaking roof? Check for any type of leak that will let rain or moisture in. It could also be from a faulty air conditioning unit, they leak water when they start to go bad. Also, check all your plumbing fixtures, they might be the source of the moisture. Whatever it is coming form, it is not good for your health, or your family's. If you have young kids, fix the problem ASAP, or you will have to deal with the mold problem, its cause, AND your kids doctor bills. It also affects the price/value of your home.

Mold is a colony of fungus, doesn't generally form small (1mm) spots, but involves a large area. If you have single dots, could be fly (or other insect) droppings.

Sounds like mold... Get air circulating - fans, perhaps a dehumidifier.... Not a good thing to leave if it is mold. You can wash surfaces with a disinfectant, (Lysol or other cleaner)
but get to the root of the problem asap.
Usually come from a water leak, roof, furnace not draining, water softner..something leaving alot of water - causing higher humidity.

Sounds like mold. I would start checking your roof to leaks and the attic for dampness. Somehow water/moisture is a problem. Spray it with bleach and if it disappears, it's mold. Smell it too....if it has a damp/moldy smell, you've got a water problem.

Mold. and it may be the one that causes bronchial problems, you need to get this rectified asap.
could be a number of factors. leak. broken guttering, failed wall insulation. ect ect.
you need to find the root cause and stop this, as it will spread. The black mold if touched burst into a very fine cloud of spores, not what you or child/pet want to breath in.
Wash walls with water/bleach solution. then pva ( glue/water) mix to seal walls, tempory fix while problem is fixed.
if its council/association house, call them asap. if private, get help asap. could prove expensive if not dealt with.

It is mold and it leeches through drywall and just about every other building material. 1st. you need to get rid of the moisture problem, spray straight liquid bleach on any surface inside and outside of walls to kill the mold, you will probably need to repaint using Kilz primer and then a couple good coats of paint to take care of it all.

Mildew caused by lack of ventilation. Open doors and windows in fine dry weather. Keep doors open so that new oxygen can get into the room. Mildew does'nt like oxygen.

yes, you have mold! Lots of it sound like... need to have it assessed or find out where the leak is... where there is moisture and warmth, it THRIVES and can be fatal depending on what kind... Check your closets and walls, in dark places also... it can be very hard to get rid of... thats also, after it has caused considerable damage... to your things, clothes, furniture, walls, wallpaper... hurry go and check it out...

It sounds like you have a damp house. If damp is getting into the house, everything will eventually have mould. You need someone out pretty quickly to see if you have adequate damp-proofing in your house.
