Normally I would say no, but if you think you have a problem then maybe yes. Health wise they say 21 units per week for a female> There are about 5 in each bottle of wine so you are ok there> they also recommend 2 drink free nights a week so you are ok there so in essence NO stop worrying!

Maybe, Maybe not. 4 bottles of wine is quite excessive consumption tho for a weekend. A womans weekly recommended alcohol intake is 14 units (21 for a man) and 1 unit is equivalent to one small glass of wine (175ml I believe). There's nothing wrong with drinking alone if you live alone, just don't make it a habit every night, and don't drink to excess. People who I would class as having a drinking problem are those who can't get out of bed in the morning without having a drink. I think maybe you are lonely at home and can't find anything else to do but drink at the weekend. Maybe get together with a few girlfriends and go out (or stay in) and have fun - just coz you're 28, you can still have sleepovers, food, drink, pampering, films, stories about men etc.
If you are concerned about your drinking tho, maybe you do have a problem. Try and talk to your GP or health professional about it!

No i dont think its a prob as such, if you were an alcoholic then you wouldnt be able to stop drinking during the week. I do think that the amonut is a bit excessive though, do you rely on it to have a good time? Or are you lonely? Start looking at the reasons you drink so much on a weekend and deal with this. I enjoy a drink myself so am not preaching to you, its just these things can get out of control. I stop myself having a drink if i am doing it because i am bored or a bit down, see if you can do the same x

Do you feel like you depend on it? Whether you do or not that's quite a lot to put away in a week. I'm not criticising, I often drink a couple of bottles on a Friday but it makes me feel so rough I can't even think about another drink for a week. You must be buying more expensive wine than me!
If you feel that it might be a problem, it might well be.

You might not think you have drinking problem but your habit is not healty. You force your liver to work hard each week. It won't be good in long/medium term. When things goes wrong in your life, then the chance of you run to drink more and not only in the weekend is much higher.
Perhaps you can try drink later in the night, so you drink less by the end of the night.

I would say no. You don't drink during the week, so it's only fair that you relax at the weekend, and if that means drinking a bottle of wine, who cares? I'm almost exactly the same. Don't drink during the week, but at the weekend, I'll have a few beers or a bottle of wine. I certainly don't think that constitutes a drinking problem.

In my idea it is better you shouldn't be alone during weekends.
Think of some gatherings, some friends, family members, or work with the internet.
You should also know alcohol effects are summative:its adverse effects pile up even if you refrain in intervals.
As far as you don't feel any physical or psychological dependencies, you would not be called an addict. But I hope you will not get into visual hallucinations and physical problems alcohol can bring about.

Well, it is a lot to drink in 1 weekend (especially 2 on saturday) but I wouldn't say you have a problem. You are not alcoholic or you would be drinking everyday and would feel the need to drink as soon as you get up in the morning. You probably just drink to chill out as it's the weekend, or maybe out of boredom, and it is easy to get carried away.

Not as long as you don't drive on Monday morning because you might still be over the limit....
Drinking home alone is just no fun, just an escape from something you want to cancel out...
And I'll bet you started with just a few glasses on only one night of the week... nuff said.

Since you don't drink during the week i don't think it's a problem. if you feel like you start needing it and craving it more and more then you might start having problems try doing other things like instead of drinking one bottle drink like half and then have some water instead of the rest of the bottle.
