Is your slate washed clean?
Are you a new spiritual man in Christ Jesus?
Do you remember this in communion?
Jesus told us to drink of the 'fruit of the vine' in remembrance of Him. That this is His shed blood for the remission of sins of many...

Fuzzy, I am asking about the foundation of repentance that results in being born again spiritually. I know we still sin after the spiritual birth. But we are to confess the sin at the Holy Spirit conviction. Also, if someone sins, trying to ignor the Holy Spirit, they sin unto physical death. They die. They go home early. There is no need to pray about it.

Chill will, you need to read & study on who you are in Christ. When you sin, confess your sin & He (Jesus) is righteous & just to forgive you your sin & cleanse you from it. A promise in 1Jn1.

Yes , Indeed , because I believe it in faith. I was against this doctrine for it makes no sense. The more I ridicule and make a mockery of it, the more I was convicted. Cruel. I spend the time reading the bible just to use back its words at the christian and I got hit and nailed. Tricky God.

Jesus Christ taught people to do good works of Good Samaritanism. Being part of a Church does not make a person good or evil. Being good makes a person good, and being evil makes a person evil. A person can eat the Sacrament a million times, if they do evil, then they need to repent, and stop doing that evil, and never do that evil again. Taking the Sacrament does not exonerate anyone anywhere anyhow from doing evil deeds. No matter how much money a person has. Evil is still evil. A person can not beat their wife or girlfriend and then justify it just because they have communion. There is no justification. There should be guilt and shame and repentance. God does not endorse drinking and drugs and extra-marital affairs, or any such thing. Taking communion does not change that one bit. A person who is evil, is still evil, a person who is good is still good, and anyone that believes different is a child of Hell, not a child of God. And that is certain. Joseph Smith taught that when a person is doing good, that is when we might suspect that that person is good. And when a person is doing evil, then we might suspect that that person is evil. Jesus Christ taught that by their fruits you shall know them. If you were on the side of the road bleeding because you drank alcohol and stayed up all night at a wild party, and I stopped and picked you up; Would you refuse to allow me to take you to the hospital even though you are losing blood, and are dying, because you happen to see that I have a "I Love Jesus Because I Am a Mormon" bumper sticker on my car? Would you disagree with my Holy Sacrament so much, to the point that you would refuse to allow me to do everything in my power to bring you to a place to be saved?

Drinking human blood really isn't my thing, love. Did Jesus shed his blood for "remission" of (my) sins? No, Jesus' blood was shed because of Roman repression in a backwater part of the Roman Empire. And 'sins' is yet another idea that's best left to the Bronze Age whence it comes. Dare I say it? It's the 21st-century.

If you remember Heb 12:4-6 and read the other scriptures below, you'll see that all Christians sin (not willfully - damnation ensured) For this reason, God disciplines those he loves so that they do not get judged with the world.
For this reason, though Christ ransom covers a lot of sins, God demands that there is punishment for some that do not come under Adamitic sin.
Of course, as it says, there is sin that leads to death -- it is not in regard to this I write.
Thus our conduct must be Holy and pure, free of willful sin if we want to belong to the sons of God, being lead by God's spirit.
-------
4Ye have not yet resisted as far as blood, struggling against sin. 5And have ye forgotten the exhortation that reasons with you as with sons, My son, do not disparage the chastening of Lord, nor become disheartened when punished by him? 6For whom Lord loves he chastens. And he whips every son whom he receives. (ACV)
--------
Prov 11:31;
I Corinthians 11:32But when we are judged by Lord, we are chastened so that we may not be condemned with the world.

We are responsible for our own slate........Jesus' teachings showed us the way (truth) to change the way we think and act, and that we can have an internal (no Bible, no church) relationship with God (our Creator).
In the times the scripture was written, blood sacrifice was common, and expected. It was something that the people understood as necessary. However, it is not the blood sacrifice that saves you, it is the change YOU make in your behavior, actions and speech.
In rememberance...will you forget? If you have a friend who lives far, far away, you write letters so you won't forget each other, to remember and continue your relationship. But if you friend lives next door to you and you talk every day, there is no need for letters.

The real man is the spiritual man and not the physical man. It is because the physical man returns to the dust; but the spirit returns to the Spirit whom the spirit came from. Thus, THE LORD JESUS CHRIST said no flesh would glory; and the such the man born in the spirit (spiritual man) will become angel-like in the Kingdom of Heaven and will be born of GOD in the KIngdom of GOD becoming god or like-GOD. destined from glory to glory. And all these will come to pass because all our sins were already redeemed by THE LORD JESUS CHRIST. THANKS GOD; FEAR GOD; PRAISE GOD; GLORIFY GOD; LOVE GOD AND WORSHIP GOD. I thought he shed his blood because he liked to have a bloody good time. Or, since he was a carpenter, he shed blood when he accidentally hit his thumb.
Why is this Yahoo answers thing chock full of religious people trying to preach about Jesus - WE KNOW WHO JESUS IS.

Jesus shed his blood because he loves you and me very much. Because of his great love there is forgiveness of sins.
Just as Jesus has forgiven you and me, so we too have to forgive one another. Jesus said, "Whose sins you shall forgive, they are forgiven then; whose sins you shall retain they are retained.
