My bedroom is very broing. The walls are white, but I am painting them light blue soon. After I paint the walls, I want to do some simple decorating on the walls. I want these to be fun, simple, creative, and HOMEMADE; but still look nice. I like the colors light blue, light pink, light purple, and light green. Please also keep in mind that I am 14.
Thank you! ♥ Emily

buy a bunch of unpainted picture frames and frame pictures of all your favorite people in them, celebrities, rock stars, family, friends, pets, vacations, and paint the frames to match your room. unless something like that creeps you out.

You can go to Michael's Craft Store and buy really inexpensive stencils. Buy cheap paints there also, along with some stenciling brushes. You can stencil different things on your walls, such as flowers or butterflys. Work on a scrap piece of wood first to get the hang of it. You have to use a "dry" brush. Which means you have to work off a lot of the paint before applying. I stenciled a fence in my back yard which is about 30 ft. long with all kinds of different flowers and bushes and even trees. It took me all one summer, but it has turned out beautifully.

I'm posting a link for a craft that just might fit the bill :)

My daughter just made a bunch of these to decorate the walls of her bedroom and her friends all wanted ones of their own. This craft uses old vinyl records and Scribbles dimensional paint ~ you soften the records in the oven and sculpt them into shape. One they have cooled off, the records can be painted using Scribbles or even glitter glue. My daughter made 12 of these and arranged them in a row of 4 across and 3 high above her bed. It looks totally cool and almost like something that came out of an art gallery.

You can find old records in the thrift store for about 25¢ each, the paints are about .80-$1 each.

Even if you don't want to melt the records, you can still paint on them ~ flowers, stripes, polka dots, squiggly lines whatever and line them up on the wall. For something even wilder, decoupage them first using pictures cut out of magazines, and then paint over them!
