So, talking while you pee. Acceptable or not? I find it to be horrible and disgusting.

I don't know if I'd call it "horrible and disgusting" but I'm not very comfortable with it. Going to the bathroom is a very private situation (when you're at home, you're used to going with the door closed and you're in your own little world). When you're at work or in a situation where you're outside of that bubble and forced to pee with other people, it's awkward to be talking.
I find talking while both guys are washing their hands to be acceptable, but talking while you're both at the urinals is uncomfortable.

It can be acceptable if:
1. The conversation began prior to reaching the bathroom
2. The conversation began before reaching the urinal and it's not a typical "soup" question (ie. How was your day, the weather is nice)
Outside of those two things, talking in the bathroom should be kept at a minimum.

Whats the big deal. It is no secret that people go to the bathroom all the time. I talk to folks while peeing and it doesnt bother me if they are taking a dump while on the phone.

If you find it horrible and disgusting, why go into a public toilet in the first place? My advice, NEVER USE PUBLIC RESTROOMS, so you can remain happy. Or it might be a mental facination that you crave to hear guys talking to one another in the loo.You have to figure out your own dilemma.

A casual but limited conversation between coworkers...OK. But If you're on a conference call on the cell phone, or having an impromptu meeting with the boss...tsk tsk! No good...

Quite common place anymore. I have seen people talking on their wireless cells while taking a leak and a dump. People just don't seem to care anymore.

Depends - if he is talking about food - then yeah it's gross.
If he's telling you he loves you while he pees - then he getting ready for better things.
If he is talking about how much work sucks - then it is normal.

Well, horrible and disgusting may be an overstatement, but it is definitely not good urinal etiquette.
