If your vehicle is an automatic, you can find an unused plate where the clutch mechanism would normally pass through the firewall. This is usually a plastic piece that's easily removable; you can drill a hole in it for your wire and it won't cut into the insulation.

Most all vehicles have holes through the firewall where wiring already passes through. These holes are usually fitted with flexible rubber grommets to seal around the wires. Since the rubber is flexible you should be able to squeeze the wire through one of these. If not you could cut your own hole. Just be sure to seal it around the wire somehow.

If you look at the firewall, you will see little rubber plugs just poke a screwdriver through one and feed the cables through.

I'm not sure, however it is not necessary to run A wire all the way to the battery .You can run A hot wire into your fuse block/panel....Make sure you wire it into a fuse that is not on all the time such as cigarette lighter etc..use a fuse that requires key to be AT least on accessory
