Do you think if politicians read our responses on this forum that they would change their vote to a NO for amnesty?

My poor innocent soul knows the truth, but I thought it would be a fun question to ask.

Not the ones who have decided we are morons who won't know they really want the bill to pass if they vote yes on cloture but no on the actual vote (where their vote counts less.) They go from one 'they are idiots and won't notice what we are doing if we do it this way' to another, similarly transparent ploy.

Just because we used to trust them doesn't mean we are idiots. However, they have lived by that rule for so long, we may need new people in Congress to convince them that they are truly responsible for representing US.

I'm not sure if this forum carries enough weight to cause a pol to change his vote but there are ways to get them to do what we want and that is keep pressure on them through letters, e-mails and phone calls. Most of them want their jobs and if we can make it clear to them that they will be on the unemployment line unless they change.

I think if they do read the posts here on this issue, they will be disgusted with the amount of racism and stupidity. If they do, they (for the ones who don't want the bill to pass) would change their minds right away.

Keep letting them hear your op that's where there votes come from. There thought we wouldn't see there sneaking back room ways but thanks to talk radio & Dobbs & O/reilly & Hannaity we have heard. Tell them in every way a vote for shamnesty is a vote out of office. Close the borders enforce the laws we have.

A bunch of ranters and ravers on online forums does not represent the true wishes and desires of the American public at large. In fact, the majority of Americans are generally conflicted about the true impact of immigration as a whole on the country.

No I don't think that would change their vote. The number one influence on government is corporate and business lobbies.

Probably not, what we need to do is start running more anti-amnesty people for office and getting them elected as well.

Right. Like they really give a rats butt. If they did look they would only laugh and say look at those fools. They have us pegged as suckers and I'd have to say that so far they are correct.

Only if we were standing over them at the time with a 2X4. :)
You don't have to be blind, deaf and dumb to be a member of Congress...but it helps.

I wish. Sadly, they would read this, then say "this doesn't represent the majority of Americnas. How do we know that isn't just one or two people with multiple accounts?"
