I can only recommend that you do not give your child Aspirin at any time. Speak to your doctor about the serious problems it can cause in children and PLEASE read the link below about why you should NEVER give your children Aspirin.

As for the paracetamol - it is acetaminophen not aspirin. I will include a link below where you can read about this medication. It shouldn't harm him but it would be a good idea to keep ALL your medications locked up and out of reach of any children in your household. Good luck ... hope all is well with your son!

Aspirin and Tylenol.

From Wikipedia:
In children acute doses (Tylenol) above 200 mg/kg could potentially cause toxicity. This higher threshold is largely due to children having relatively larger kidneys and livers than adults and hence being more tolerant of paracetamol overdose than adults.[12] Acute paracetamol overdose in children rarely causes illness or death with chronic supratherapeutic doses being the major cause of toxicity in children

200 mg/kg means 90 mg/pound of your child's weight. If his weight is 50 lbs, that would mean 50 x 90 or 450mg to be toxic.

You could also ask your Pharmicist. They are very helpful about these things.
