Question

Only in America......can a pizza get to your house faster than an ambulance.
Only in America......are there handicap parking places in front of a skating rink.
Only in America......do drugstores make the sick walk all the way to the back of the store to get their prescriptions while healthy people can buy cigarettes at the front.
Only in America......do people order double cheese burgers, large fries, and a diet coke.
Only in America......do banks leave both doors open and then chain the pens to the counters.
Only in America......do we leave cars worth thousands of dollars in the driveway and put our useless junk in the garage.
Only in America......do we use answering machines to screen calls and then have call waiting so we won't miss a call from someone we didn't want to talk to in the first place.
Only in America......do we buy hot dogs in packages of ten and buns in packages of eight.

Whats wrong with America????

There should be, what about people coming to watch? What about disabled parents/grandparents bringing their children/grandchildren in?

Same here in Europe.

4. Only in America......do people order double cheeseburgers, large fries, and a diet coke.
Seen that here too; some people prefer the taste.

5. Only in America......do banks leave both doors open and then chain the pens to the counters.
Lots of places, banks and others, use pen chains here in Europe too and their front doors aren't locked.

6. Only in America......do we leave cars worth thousands of dollars in the driveway and put our useless junk in the garage.
Almost everyone has their car parked out front in my neighborhood, and stuff in their garage.

7. Only in America......do we use answering machines to screen calls and then have call waiting so we won't miss a call from someone we didn't want to talk to in the first place.
Do you really believe other countries don't use answering machines & call waiting?

8. Only in America....do we buy hot dogs in packages of ten and buns in packages of eight.
Again, ours are sold exactly the same way here in Europe.

Sorry, this one really doesn't hold water. These things may happen in the US but the 'only in America' part isn't true at all, these things are common in pretty much the entire Western society.

Nothing what so ever is wrong with America.It may appear different in many ways but as a visitor I found America to be unique,amazingly open ,Progressive,Humane and bee bit more democratic than required[but,it's o.k],and a 'HOPE' to the world which has yet to taste Freedom and Prosperity.To some of my hosts I even suggested that if they ever felt unhappy about their country,they would do well to spend some time in any of the Arabian,communist or a dictator ruled/ non democratic country.No one understands the value of Shoes better than a person who has lost his legs or feet.

Secondly, are these really your concerns as to what is wrong with America? I sincerely hope not.

THIS is what is wrong with America:

Only in America...are there over 750,000 people HOMELESS.
Only in America...is there an average of approximately 80 WAL-MART stores in every state.
Only in America...do over 46 million people NOT have HEALTH INSURANCE.
Only in America...is the OBESITY rate over 30%.
Only in America...do we have a higher HOMICIDE rate than any other industrialized country.
Only in America...are 37 million people living in POVERTY.
Only in America...do we release nearly 6,300 MILLION TONS of CARBON DIOXIDE into the atmosphere every year.
Only in America...do we generate over 4 million tons of waste and recycle only about 30% of it.



(Of course there are other countries with worse and/or better statistics than ours, but still these are facts that are troubling and should concern us all)

America is the only country that is bashed by every country in the world, but has the big problem of trying to keep people out. It seems that millions want to live in the country that they love to hate.
