This is usually HARDWARE related.. either bad RAM, bad HD, something is wrong and it simply fails to be able to load.

It can be just as simple as replugging the memory or cables video etc. May be even as simple as BIOS settings or it may well be a failure that needs new parts.

Check all your hardware setup. Go into BIOS setup and set to system defaults (just for starters) and see if it still happens.

there are several issues her, number one you may not have enough Ram to run XP, plus your hard drive could be on they way out the door. Go to my computer and see how much ram and memory you have and ,make sure it meets the requirements. You may have to try and install in the safe mode. If your computer is more than 4 years old get a new one. All in all most blue screen problems are the hard drive going bad, in some cases you can hear it grinding some what, you can actually get a new one with 1 gig for fairly cheap, but don;t go cheap, get a Western digital one if possible

Ah, I hate the blue screen of death, Yes. Try BIOS. Besides, what OS are you using? If you have Vista, Media Center, Or XP Professional, you cant install Home Edition.

Well if you don't know already, Since Windows Vista came out, They are taking Windows XP off the market. By the end of this year no one will be able to use the XP. Windows is taking the system out of all their programs, and replacing it w/ Windows Vista. No one will be selling or fixing them any more. Sorry! Good Luck though! Hope this helps a little bit!

When this happens it normally means that there is something messed up in the hard drive. What you need to do before you install XP is call the maker of your computer and they should be able to walk you through getting your computer back to normal. After if is cleared of its mess, then you can install without any problems.
