If MANY shall come... TO DECEIVE... and shall deceive MANY, then is it any wonder so many are MISINFORMED?
Would not the solution to such be to simply inform such ppl?
How does one AWAKE someone unto righteousness?
What is righteousness? Is it right of left/right or higher?

The better question is: how do you awake someone FROM self-righteousness?

No, because informing people means nothing. My point is simply that it is not the message you send, it is the message that matters...it is the message that is received.
I think righteousness is not native to just Christians. While it is true that Christianity calls for us to live righteousness. Can you really say that a Buddhist that dedicates his life to helping his life to other is unrighteous? Would you consider a Mahatma Gandhi unrighteous? I would say no, but I would also say that they would never enter yours (maybe ours) heaven either.
Righteousness has nothing to do with religion, but they often go hand in hand. Righteousness is simply living a moral existence.
I think preaching to people is one of the worst things you can do. Instead, live your life as an example. People will respect you and admire you for how you live your life. In this way you become a living example what you are preaching.
Let us not forget how many wars have been fought or people tortured and killed all under the guise of Christianity. So it is right for people to question the message you are sending? I think is it. Only a great fool reaches for what he is given. People need to go out and find out for themselves, yours (maybe ours) role is to guide them.
Personally, I don't people coming to my door, wanting to preach to me and talk to me about God. They do not know me or how I live my life, but more importantly I don't know them and how they live their lives, so why should I accept what they say to me. How do they know we are not the decivers?

People ARE misinformed, and about many things!
One big way to clear much deception would be to teach everyone exactly the proper principles of Biblical interpretation.

Pray for the liar to stop. Pray that educated people are not so gaulible. Pray that American is wise. Pray that the American President Bush stop lying too. So practise of the path of speaking the truth everything should be right.
