It's great that you want to be healthy. However, it doesn't sound like you know what nutrients your body needs. You didn't mention anything that had good carbohydrates or protein which is essential. Don't be fooled by silly diet trends like south beach. I've added a link that will help you learn about all the nutrients your body needs to grow and stay healthy. Working out is great and can be fun but don't worry about it too much. You do need the calories and energy to do those things so not eating enough healthy food can make your body breakdown. Other activities that are great are biking, swimming, and any sports.

Be careful. I started dieting when I was nine, and it lead to off-and-on diets for three years. I bounced around between being very overweight to underweight, but have now reached a healthy balance with the help of a counselor.
It sounds like you're on the right track. Have you talked to your parents about this? You would be better off talking going to the doctor, who can refer you to see a dietician. Those people teach you about health and nutrition. If that is not possible at least log on to myfoodpyramid.gov and find out how much food would be healthy for you to eat based on the data you submit.
You may lose the weight a little more slowly that way. However, that is better because it gives you a higher chance of keeping the weight off and you can give your body the nutrients it needs. If you lose the weight too fast you will wind up with stretch marks and/or flabby skin. That happened to me, although it eventually went away with careful excercises.

You are actually eating way less than what is appropriate for your body. If you don't eat enough food your body will go into starvation mode and then all of the food that you eat will be stored as fat. You should track your calorie count and make sure that you are between 1400 to 1800 calories a day (It matters how tall you are) Also remember that you will be going through puberty soon and your body will be needing those calories. Just make sure that you don't overdo your diet and exercise. Other than that your the healthiest 10 year old I've ever heard of.

Hopefuly your doctor has been plotting your height and weight on a graph since you were born, and can show you where you are according to national percentiles. He/she can also calculate your Body Mass Index. From these data your doctor can recommend an ideal weight range.
If you are overweight at your age, my recommendation is to gain more slowly, so that your growth will "catch up" to your weight. Again, your doctor can assist you with this, or recommend a dietician who will design a healthy diet plan.
Conversely, if you are already of a healthy weight, and want to lose, you may be in early stages of an eating disorder. This can be quite dangerous.Get help.

Where is the protein? If you do not eat properly, you will permanently stunt your growth and weaken your bones.
Ask your mom to take you to your doctor to get a proper medical opinion on what diet and exercise is best for you at your age.
You want to be healthy, that is great! Just make sure you are making the right choices, and getting the right advice from your doctor is the best way.

at 10, your body is only just beginning to grow, so don't deprive it of the nutrition it needs, otherwise you may end up thin, but stunted. :Op
you need more healthy carbs in your diet - try wholemeal pastas and multi-grain breads.
your diet is also severely lacking proteins - eat lean meats. Fish is very healthy and very low in bad fats. if you are vegetarian, you can get your protein from legumes (ie. beans & bean-type veg).
Avoid eating too much pre-processed foods (canned, tinned, bottled & frozen meals).
Avoid fast foods, and fried foods. Try to avoid foods that contain saturated fats - the info should be on the nutrition labels. Mono- or poly-unsaturated fats are fine.
take up a regular sport, team sports allow you to socialize as well as get the exercise you need to stay healthy!
and lastly, while it's important to eat healthy, it's more important to not let physical images and cliches get you down, alright? :O)

At ten actual dieting is a no-no. But eating healthy is always good. Don't try to do to much, starve yourself or worrying about your weight too much. Your body is still growing.
