Not this Kansas Kid. But then again, I'm also smarter than the majority of them too.

Yes, Gazoo, kids in Kansas actually go to college. Oh, and Nathan, I've lived in this state my entire life. There are no coal mines here. I think you're confusing us with West Virginia, which is a whole helluva lot more backward than Kansas.

it might be an interesting experiment to just let Kansas go its way and the rest of the nation progress. Then from time to time find out how closely Kansas has gotten to neolithic conditions.

What makes you think that they find out in Kansas colleges?

Were you surprised when you went to college and much of what you learned in high school was already outdated?

I do not believe it is just, polite or intelligent to ridicule kids for what their parents or schools did or did not teach them.

I suspect the "intelligent design" courses will backfire as they are unable to stand up to scientific inquiry. This view, one can't even call it a hypothesis, depends upon pointing to some of the rapidly closing gaps in evolutionary evidence & howling... "you don't know why that happened!" One could only wish their view of evidence had some degree of intelligent design.

There is it's called Science and Engineering.

Afterall IPODS don't grow on trees they are INTELLEGENTLY DESIGNED and the designers get big $$$ to do that trick!

Here's logic in action. If the Universe can Create itself without need of a brain, why do we need to train our brains and make college graduates who "create" and "invent" things.

I mean Evolution will eventually provide what is needed in life.

So why do we teach INTELLEGENT DESIGN in college.

Why do we pay INTELLEGENT DESIGNERS Big $$$ to make Ipods.

They'll eventually grown in cabbage patches sometime in the future.

Do you see a paradox here.

NO intellegence required to make a whole COSMOS

NO intellgence required to make an orange tree

But we need Intellegent Designers to make our buildings and cars and clothing.

Is there not an OBVIOUS paradox in that point of view.

That depends on which college they go to. If they go to one of the Christian Colleges like Liberty University they will find creationism being taught, if they go to a real University like Harvard, Yale, University of Florida, Stanford or any other college that has a real history of academic success, no they won't.

Kids from Kansas don't go to college. They work in coal mines and bag groceries. Paper and plastic, Merle.

Yep.
And more surprised when they find there is nothing intelligent about the so-called theory either.
