I have actually had people think I was arguing the other side of an argument. I think ALL sides need to watch out for hypocracy and assumptions. ( and tree frogs)

Regulars have been programmed. The way you worded your initial question has been used many times to bait the atheists, and is also used to bait Christians, substituting atheists for Christians in the question of course.

It's quite funny actually. Programmed to snap into judgment. Y!A R+S can be such a neat little psychology experiment

Yes, I agree.. way too much assumption goes into q&a's here.
As you can see from my new "name" on here.. It's assumed I'm a male even though I have a female avatar.
I've been accused of being a christian, an atheist and a muslim by questions I've asked.

I just read all of the answers, and I didn't see one that referred to what you do or do not believe. What I did see is people expressing personal experiences in R&S, and their own beliefs. You mentioned christians in your question. Are you surprised that some people mentioned christians in their answers?

Perhaps I missed something. If so, please point out who stated your beliefs?

" I am not a christian or any other religion and have never claimed otherwise? "

Er, and if you look through the answers to your question, you'll see that no-one assumed that you were. Is there something loose in your head? You don't seem to have a good connection with reality.

There is a certain worth in pointing out hypocrisy.
However, to make it one's purpose in life is a bit negative.
Yes, one must tear down ....but don't stop there!
It is necessary to rebuild ....offer something of genuine value.
BTW Please do not confuse Christianity with christendom.
Christendom has proven herself to be the absolute worst representative of Christianity.
She is a hypocritical abomination.
That, however, doesn't touch Christianity.

I think it's because you asked a question that's typical of the Christian fundamentalists, so people assumed you were part of their camp.

That's kind of funny because one of my pet-peeves is when people assume I'm a Christian.

I answered that question. I agreed with you. Did you give me a thumbs down because of this?
