One of two reasons. 1-They do not know the truth about Christ. 2-They choose to live life as they see fit, not allowing for anything uplifting yet with rules into their lives because they "want what they want, when they want it." It comes down to a matter of choice and the choices that we make define our lives forever. It's so sad because I know the outcome and they will eventually realize the mistake they've made by not choosing wisely, but alas - it will be too late.

You have defined what it means to be at war with/between the flesh and the spirit. This is the basic reason many people don't come into the fold or use God as they see fit. Sin is a very potent killer of the soul because it gives us what our flesh desires and starves the spirit. However, what we consider sin must be rationalized and brought into the concept of what God and Christ would do in a given situation. I'm not that familiar with the game but I believe its a war game. Unless some character can rape women/men/kids or there are some things that could be considered demonic within the game, I'd say it's not damaging to your soul. Ask yourself these questions: does it make you want to go out and kill, does it cause you to be less sensitive to your fellow man, does it make you forget about God and Christ, does it make you hate? If you can answer no to all of these you should be fine playing this game as just a source of entertainment. But do pray on it to ease your mind. May God bless you for your thoughtfulness.

Because some book 2000 years old has no more credibility than any other text from the era. There are a hundred religious text that all say there god is #1 and all the others are false.

The Holy Bible has changed over the years and I still question why people are so accepting of it when the priest hoods just decided that THEY didn't like some of the religious text so just burned them and threw them away.

Because it's easier.

Mat 7:13 ¶ Enter ye in at the strait gate: for wide [is] the gate, and broad [is] the way, that leadeth to destruction, and many there be which go in thereat:

Mat 7:14 Because strait [is] the gate, and narrow [is] the way, which leadeth unto life, and few there be that find it.

Mat 16:24 ¶ Then said Jesus unto his disciples, If any [man] will come after me, let him deny himself, and take up his cross, and follow me.

Mat 16:25 For whosoever will save his life shall lose it: and whosoever will lose his life for my sake shall find it.

Mat 16:26 For what is a man profited, if he shall gain the whole world, and lose his own soul? or what shall a man give in exchange for his soul?

Jam 1:12 ¶ Blessed [is] the man that endureth temptation: for when he is tried, he shall receive the crown of life, which the Lord hath promised to them that love him.

Jam 1:13 Let no man say when he is tempted, I am tempted of God: for God cannot be tempted with evil, neither tempteth he any man:

Jam 1:14 But every man is tempted, when he is drawn away of his own lust, and enticed.

Jam 1:15 Then when lust hath conceived, it bringeth forth sin: and sin, when it is finished, bringeth forth death.

Jam 1:16 Do not err, my beloved brethren.

Because it's more fun. It's the same as asking why a load of fourteen year olds keep messing about getting drunk near where I live when they should be at home doing their homework. Just because some think something is the right thing to do, doesn't mean that all will enjoy it.

Why do people deny Christ for a life of sinful pleasure under the pretense of being saved?

The Bible is no more valid than any another religious text. Citing it as a source of morality is like citing the Qu'ran as an argument for Islam. It's called circular reasoning.

The answer is simple the road less traveled is the road to salvation and it is the hardest, it is much easier to follow vice and pleasures of the body than that of the spirit.
God keep you and bless you always

"a life of sinful pleasure" sounds like the kind of hedonistic decadence i'm looking for because my life is a little on the mundane side at the moment.

If you don't believe in the bible then sin doesn't apply to you. So your question doesn't make sense to people who are peacefull but practice other religions. Ex. Hindu,Buddhist ect. Secondly if the bible told you to jump off a bridge on your 30th birthday would you? are you that simple?
