Christians, please do not become defensive. I do understand the full scope of God's mercy. I just want you to think and get into your Bibles, okay?

Reading these words can help us to consider the seriousness involve in committing sins. We are all imperfect and no can say that they have no sin; even if you do your very best to serve the Creator, Jehovah, you are still a sinner by virtue of being a descendant from Adam and Eve. (Rom. 3:23; 5:12; 1 John 1:8, 10)

Hence, repentance is very necessary when we commit a sin. True and genuine repentance--having a complete change of attitude and change of mind; turning away from the wrong course, should be the hallmark of a person who has fallen to a wrong path. If one is truly repentant, then it becomes easier for God to show him mercy and forgive him of his sins in order for him to receive God's approval and blessings again. So, whenever we sin against Jehovah God, we should be willing to confess our sins and leave them in a truly repentant spirit and we can be sure to receive the mercy of our God Jehovah.—Proverbs 28:13; Acts 3:19; 1 John 1:9.

At that time Israel was in constant sin against each other and the Lord. But speaking of the future when Jesus would come and die for the people's sins God said, "I will remember their sins no more." What does that tell you about mercy and repentance?

We learn that you cannot take scripture out of context and receive revelation. This one line of scripture applies to those who reject God.

He offers ALL of us grace & mercy through the blood of Christ...whether or not people choose to accept His offer is their own personal decision.
