here's the poem first:

LONELINESS

A hawk hovers in air.
Two white gulls float on the stream.
Soaring with the wind, it is easy
To drop and seize
Birds who foolishly drift with the current.
Where the dew sparkles in the grass,
The spider's web waits for its prey.
The processes of nature resemble the business of men.
I stand alone with ten thousand sorrows.

What is your explanation for the line:
" The processes of nature resemble the business of men"

thanks! tc always :D

To explain the line you've asked about, you have to distinguish between the two previous metaphors.

The Hawk is active, and searches out prey. The Spider is passive, and waits for prey to come to it.

The line remarks on the fact that some Humans make their living by seeking out people to do business with, and others let people come to them to do business. More than that, it seems to presume that Businessmen uniformly seek to make victims of those with whom they conduct business.

The final line exposes the author's inability to distinguish between predation and mutually beneficial commerce.

Obviously the title suggests that the author doesn't understand why no one else sees that selling a product is the moral equivalent of trapping a fly in a web, and cannot therefore relate to other Humans.

Basically, it is the product of a naive mind, and not worth reading twice, let alone printing here.

I go more with James' answer. More about I felt to relating to "the hawk" waiting to "drop and seize" and the spider waiting for its prey; it's a hard world in nature, just as in the "business of men". It mentions in between this harshness the beauty also. So it is with our lives.

no wonder every animal can be compared to a person. the description of the animals can be describe for poeple. "The spider's web waits for its prey" it could be related to a laweyer with his dirty tricks. and i gues it's a same nature survival of men just like survival of animals.

This refers to some kind of exchange, perhaps a balance of some kind or an interaction with a pay off at a cost.

the process of nature is brutal when referring to predator and prey. so is the business of men. there is much loneliness when you realize there is no brotherhood of man.
