instead of finding fault with others."

I always go over my day and think of how I could have made things better. my grandmother is a very spiritual woman and she taught me something very important when I was younger that really changed my way of thinking. When you hear about a persons actions, just remember that you don't always know the situation that they are in and most times people make they best decisions they can in the situations they are in in that moment. Maybe they would have made a better decision an hour before or an hour later but right then it seemed like the proper thing to do. That has kept me from being so judgmental unlike many of the others that I share the same Faith.

I do.

I'm on a bit of a mission right now to find my true faults that other people see and I don't, and doing what I can to fix them. It's working beautifully, and I'm becoming a better person for it.

I totally agree with that quote. People need to stop worrying about what other people do and judging other people's choices and decisions and worry about their own lives and faults and choices.

Of course I do - it's a good way to keep the tendency to judge others in check. Jesus told us to take the board out of our own eye before trying to remove the splinter from somebody else's eye. We're SUPPOSED to look at our own faults, be thankful for the grace & mercy that God shows us, and then pass that same grace & mercy along to others, instead of being judgmental!

Jesus said in the Bible that you should get the log out of your own eye before you try to remove a splinter from your neighbor's eye.
I think that if you can't recognize your own faults, you shouldn't be able to recognize them in others.
I have heard it said though, that when there is something about someone else that really bothers you, it's usually own of your own faults which you haven't recognized yet. keep that in mind the next time you want to criticize someone else.

People always ask the question, "why are we here"? The answer is simple, to become the best human you can be, learn from our mistakes and be proactive. If we cannot admit our flaws to ourselves, we will never be able to grow and become a better person. If each person did this, a lot of the hate and evil in the world would go away.

Yes, I do look at my own faults, and I try to fix them. That's why I became an Atheist. The bigotry that was surrounding me as a Christian was too much for me.

Yes, I constantly look at my faults/ weaknesses and I'm constantly trying to turn them into strengths

I'm a sales trainer so i have to be motivated constantly and by looking at my faults, I can improve on my actions for the future.

well, I cant say that Im all that happy with my faults but I do recognize them(most lol) and do what I can to minimize them. I suppose the happy part comes with not wasting time arguing with people over what you perceive to be their faults and trying to get them to fix them....no happiness there....and not many friends that way either.

I've spent too long looking at my own faults and trying to fix them.

Your quote means a person does better in life when they're only trying to fix themselves, basically.

i tink it means that a person would feel better if they didnt point & judge openly and constantly criticize another person's bad points, but to kno & try to fix there own bad actions.
Would you rather have someone talkin about you 2 ur face or behind your back about all the bad things you do & criticizing you & acting like you were an evil person? well, neither duz da person your taunting about, So you'd probably feel better if u knew & acknowledged your faults & let others acknowledge their own & everyone would feel better bout themselves.
that's wat i think.
P.S.---> when i say "you" i dont necesarily mean you yourself
:)
