they say you should drink 8 glasses of water a day. since coffee is pretty much just water, does that count as one of the glasses?

Hey Sam, I haven't been on here really in awhile..and this morning your Q is one of the 1st I see...it made me laugh :p..I don't know if you meant it to be funny or not...but it's just me and how I translated it, I reckon...but no, I don't think it does count as one of the glasses of the daily suggested 8 glasses of water...have a good day :)

No it doesn't because coffee is a diuretic which actually reduces the amount of water in the body. You still need those 8 glasses of water a day to stay healthy and hydrated, especially in the summer months.

NO, it is NOT considered as one. This being coffee has coffee, and as in many sugar as well as milk or cream. Water on the other hand is pure so to speak. It is better for the body as it helps cleanse the body.

no. coffee contains caffeine which is a diuretic--it makes you lose water before it is absorbed into your bloodstream, thus it dehydrates you rather than hydrates. to be safe, drink at least 2x as much water as coffee.

According to my masseuse, you have to drink two cups of water for every cup of coffee you drink.

nope, it has a lot of caffeine in it, that dries you up, you need to drink twice as much water as coffee to keep hydrated, and healthy
