I have been told that malls are better places for meeting women than bars, so yesterday I went to the mall in my city solely for finding dates. I wasted an entire evening there and did not talk to a single woman for the following reasons.
* There are too many shopkeepers in the mall (this is how it is in my country India, I don't know how it is in other countries) and someone is always watching you. You feel awkward thinking they must be wondering what this guy is doing in the mall not buying anything but going around and around.
* The women who are there shopping seem too busy and preoccupied with their purchasing so you wonder if you would be intruding them by talking to them.
* Lot of women are found in the Ladies dress shops where you have no business to be there. Even if you go there pretending to buy something, you feel the girls might be looking down on you for lurking around in the women's section, and that lowers your confidence.
*All items are too costly.

There are many dating gurus doing business on the internet : David DeAngela, Joseph Mathews, Scott peterson to name a few. These are the guys that say malls are good for finding women.

I dont know about this dating Guru stuff , I do know that be it California or Calcutta, Women are on high alert for PERVERTS!, I am not saying you are one, I am saying that if you are a man in a mall, chances are women see you long before you see them and if while they are giving worship to the GOD of COMMERCE by doing their ritualistic daily or weekly devotion of SHOPPING, if they do not see you holding your woman's bag while she Prays,,, Oops I mean SHOPS, then now they are really watching you, if they don't see you asking one of the Clergy,,,Oops I mean Clerks for help on what to buy your woman, now they are gripping their Cross, Oops I mean MACE, if they dont see you pick up your woman after she is done, then my friend they have you filed in the back of their minds as a PERVERT and you will not be getting any from there... your best bet is to go online to a dating service be up front and just say HEY I AM SINGLE AND LOOKING TO MINGLE :)

Yeah, the mall is not so much a great idea. Maybe if you were in the food court with some friends chatting it up and looking hot when she walks by. Other than that, you had better have a hot girlfriend that she checks out before you if you plan to take on the shopping heap.
Most women are really private when shopping and purposely expect a gang of dudes to be yelling at them across the walkway and are worried about being embarrassed, so they are not looking at you anyways.
The mall DOES have hot chicks in it though. If I'm ever bored and want to get a little exercise with walking and look at some hotsies, it's the first place I go. But, I know I may get a smiling glance once in a while, and that will be all.

Whoever told you that malls are a good place to meet women was obviously playing a joke on you. If you're above the age of 16 then I'd give up on malls.

Hun, you could go into women's shops, like make-up, perfumes or clothing and if you see a cool girl, just browsing around, look very helpless and sigh and look at her. She will look back eventually and you could ask her "i don't mean to be rude, but can you help me pick up a present for my sister/cousin/mom?" Or give me some pointers, or an idea, or, or...you know...and you get to talking, then you'll see how it goes. Just make up a story that keeps, that's believable and not complicated. Flowers shops might work too...ads to sensitivity :D

as a woman i can say i would not like to meet someone at the mall. We go to the mall to shop and hangout with our friends and guys that try to pick up girls at the mall come off as desperate and out of place. Try night spots, clubs, bars, movies etc. because these are places women go hoping to meet people, they are ready to be picked up

Well, first of all, you gotta make sure she's by herself. I don't care if they're with her other girlfriends. It's not a good time to holla at a girl when she got friends with her because her friends are going to talk her out of not being interested in you. You feel me? Another thing is, come at her with confidence, and make sure you look good, with nice clothes. You better make sure your breath doesn't stink. Anyways, Start out with, "hey...wassup?"... "wachu doin at the mall?" "Walk around with her, and if you can, ask her if she's hungry. If she is, take her to the foodcourt. My mall has a theatre in it as well. You can take her to the movies afterwards. Get her number, and that's it. There's your girl...lol
