Jhn: 14:27 - Peace I leave with you; my peace I give you. I do not give to you as the world gives. Do not let your heart be troubled and do not be afraid.
The world's peace is but a poor reflection of that which god gives to His children. To claim this inheritance, we first need to be in the right relationship with the testator. We must become His children by accepting him as our father in faith (John 1:12). Then we need to seek His perfect will for our lives, accept it, and obey Him (Luke 22:42).
The peace of God is the most wonderful peace imaginable; it enables us to live in peace with god, ourselves and our fellowmen. The peace of Christ is unique and totally different from what the world call peace. It affects every are of our lives. the peace of God is constant and does not change according to our moods. Such peace banishes worry, because that is the weapon the devil uses to undermine our peace. It prohibits fear, because fear is the enemy of all peace. Jesus is our Peace.

Christ's peace has everything to do with reconciliation with God. The world's peace has to do with lack of conflict. Religious peace has to do with what some would call "inner peace" (I think Artlogical equates religious peace with Christ's peace - they are not the same thing).
A person can have a great attitude toward others, a tremendous level of inner peace and an ability and comfort in accepting what is their lot in life... and still not have reconciliation with God and end up in Hell when they die... They did not have Christ's peace.
We can have Christ' peace, and not have the world's peace - in fact Christ said that he came to divide us. Having people hate you for telling them the truth about Heaven and Hell is an example of not having the world's peace, while simultaneously having Christ's peace.

Your point is totally valid in my opinion. However, religion tends to be a big no-no when talking to the masses. I myself am not Christian, nor am I related to any organized religion - except close to Buddhist - in my beliefs.

Simply by quoting the bible you are bound to throw many people off of your true point. One way I look at things is that there is a god, ...and it is we are, he is, she is, and we are all together. ("I Am the Walrus" - The Beatles) I have nevered viewed god as seperate from the universe itself. (Modern physics will tell you that all matter and all energy is made of the same stuff anyway - strings.)

Somewhere recently (relatively) in human history, we have adopted religions, and altered them. In particular, the Bible is not a handy tool for any type of study because of this. Even if not looked at scientifically, you still must say to yourself, "Am I to take this as another person re-wrote it?" (I would not even use it as a credible source for religious belief, let alone scientific decision.) Perhaps the Old Testament...

However, I know religions exist to organize people in beliefs, and serve a social purpose. Peace is ideal. At heart, all religions (that we speak of) have peace at mind. But of course, this leads to factionalized wars.

I submit that inner-peace is what you speak of, regardless of how one comes about that - through use of religion (Christian or otherwise), or not.

TAKE HIS PEACE

When the whirlwinds of doubt
Churn their way into your soul,
TAKE HIS PEACE.

When your world's reduced to ashes,
Leaving nothing firm and whole,
TAKE HIS PEACE.

There amidst the broken wreckage
In the midnight of your day,
In the apex of the storm cloud,
He's the quiet place to stay,
TAKE HIS PEACE, TAKE HIS PEACE.

When your mind gropes for answers
To the questions that you face,
TAKE HIS PEACE.

When your past comes back to haunt you
And you need Amazing Grace,
TAKE HIS PEACE.

There's an answer beyond question,
It's the truth for which you yearn:
There's forgiveness without merit,
There's a love you need't earn,
TAKE HIS PEACE, TAKE HIS PEACE.

When you're weary of the struggle
And you need a place to rest,
TAKE HIS PEACE.

When you're losing more than winning
And you're failing every test,
TAKE HIS PEACE.

There's no need to win a battle
That's been fought and won before;
You can lay back in the Victory,
Freely share His boundless store,
TAKE HIS PEACE, TAKE HIS PEACE.

When you're worried and you're fearful
For the children you hold dear,
TAKE HIS PEACE.

Let a loving Heavenly Father
Share each joy and dry each tear,
TAKE HIS PEACE.

God has promised if we teach them
And we guide them from the start,
Then the seed of truth and peace
Shall find rich soil in their hearts,
CLAIM HIS PEACE, CLAIM HIS PEACE!

(c)William and Gloria Gaither
May you be blessed today by the love of our
Father, God, brought peace by our Savior,
Jesus Christ, and comforted in all troubles by
our Counselor, the Holy Spirit.

Peace.

The peace of Christ is the "undercurrent" of all the Christian's life. It means that when things are going wrong, or even horribly, that you still have the peace of mind that God is in control and can do no wrong. So, even when things seem to affect you in a negative way, we know that in reality, God is doing something good. Peace.

So you're basically saying that to have world peace everyone needs to become Christian and that no other religion has any validity?

Psalm 37:11.........But the meek ones themselves will possess the earth,
And they will indeed find their exquisite delight in the abundance of peace

This we only come through God's kingdom with Jesus as king and prince of peace.

The peace of this world is according to satan the author of all our sins and the great deceiver of mankind. Satan is the prince of this worldly existence which is under the human govt called THE GOV'T OF THE BEAST. Thus, its peace is beastly peace. On one hand, the spiritual gov't is composed of the church, the priests, pastors, prophets/ saints and their disciples and is under THE HOLY SPIRIT. This spiritual gov't the Prince of Peace here is THE LORD JESUS CHRIST. Thus, the purpose of the human gov't is only to advance them to the spiritual gov't where true peace reigns even on this earthly plane.
