Angels are male, but without genitalia. I can't remember when that last bit got added in, but it's why they were pictured as somewhat effeminate.

I saw an angel, they dont have gender. The 'wings' is derived from the energy overflowing out of the shoulders... this is caused because Angel's are messengers but they communicate with your spirit which whilst in a physical incarnation is bound by animal instincts - which in turn means that the message is transmitted thru a connection akin to a bite by the human onto the Angel. The greater the plume or wings the more creatures the Angel has communicated with. Satan isnt an Angel, but is the shadow of the Angel of Death who transports the deceased through to Heavan.

Angels have masculine names. I don't believe they are either gender.Angels DO HAVE WINGS. They can, however, DISGUISE THEMSELVES as men. The fallen angels disguised themselves as men, and came to earth, and married human women (an abomintion to God). Satan was God's most beautiful angel, but he was full of pride, and went against God, and tried to exalt himself above God, so God had Michael (an archangel) throw him out of heaven.
I'm pretty sure that angels don't look like beautiful women, however, the way a lot of pictures show them. When the angels appeared to tell the shepherds about Jesus' birth, the shepherds were extremely afraid. Michael is an archangel, and is very very powerful. I don't think he looks like a beautiful woman with wings. I imagine he is very intimidating to look at. Everytime in the Bible when an angel confronts a human, they say "Don't be afraid" This tells me that they must be something more than the pictures that people paint of them. when the angel appeared to John, he fell on his face, as though to worship him, and he told John not to do that. So, they must be pretty awesome to see.

Officially not. In the Bible they are male or sexless.
I think the Germanic peoples get their images of angels from a cross between the biblical and the mythological tradition. The memory of the Valkyries has made angels from sexless or male into female beings in many people's imagination.

"I would make a case that Cherubim and Seraphim are angels and that angels do fly and can have wings.
Angels are able to fly as witnessed in Revelation 14:6
It is interesting to note that it appears Cherubim are seen with two wings as well as four wings in Scripture.
"In the Most Holy Place he made two cherubim of wood and overlaid them with gold. The wings of the cherubim together extended twenty cubits: one wing of the one, of five cubits, touched the wall of the house, and its other wing, of five cubits, touched the wing of the other cherub; and of this cherub, one wing, of five cubits, touched the wall of the house, and the other wing, also of five cubits, was joined to the wing of the first cherub. The wings of these cherubim extended twenty cubits. The cherubim stood on their feet, facing the nave. And he made the veil of blue and purple and crimson fabrics and fine linen, and he worked cherubim on it." (2 Ch 3:10-14 Also 1 K. 6:23-29). These instructions were given by the Lord.
Quite possibly, not all cherubim are the same just as there is a rank of angels (1 Thess 4:16; Jude 9). Possibly the Cherubim who are the Guardians of Eden are slightly different than the ones in Ezekiel (Gen 3:24).
Ez 28:14 - If you take this as an allusion to Satan (which is obviously debated) ( I personally believe the wording does seem to go beyond a human king and alludes to Satan though not directly speaking only of Satan), than Satan is described as both a Cherubim . Both Satan and his workers are described as angels (Job 4:18; 15:15; Matt 25:41; 1 Cor 6:3; 2 Cor 11 2 Pt 2:4; Jude 6)
Here is my big defense, There appears to be a group that is classed together as Heavenly Hosts, Holy Ones & Council & Assembly (Ps 89:5, 7).
In Isaiah 6:3 the Seraphim calls God the Lord of Hosts. It would make sense that the Seraphim would be classifying himself in this category and God as its Lord.
I believe Cherubim and Seraphim would fall under the class of Heavenly Hosts/beings. If this is the case, they should be classified as angels.
Heb 2:9 and Psalm 8:5 implies heavenly beings as in the same class as an angel. (Psalm 8:5 has different translations, some say angels some say heavenly beings).
One might go to Psalm 148:2. Does this verse separate them from Heavenly Hosts? I don’t believe so.
A big verse for me that appears to show that all “Heavenly Hosts” can be classified as angels is Luke 2:13-15.
It appears Luke 2:13-15 shows that the one angelic messenger is accompanied by “heavenly hosts” and later, these heavenly hosts are described as angels.
"And suddenly there was with the angel a multitude of the heavenly host praising God and saying, 'Glory to God in the highest, and on earth peace among those with whom he is pleased!' When the angels went away from them into heaven,"
Demons are also referred to as Heavenly Hosts and Angels (Isa 24:21).
In conclusion, I believe Seraphim and Cherubim are heavenly hosts and are consequently classified as angels too."

Angel simply means messenger or more rightly in this case the gods messengers. Angels are male and female and we are very closely related to them. Close enough to be able to have children with them. Which we have done on more than one occasion, one example being Noah's time. Peace and love>

There may be "female" angels, although I don't think that may be the best description of a spirit being.
yes, satan was once an angel.

Listen, there are definitely female angels, got it? They may or may not have wings, wings actually are an analogy for an angel's ability to soar above the human condition. They don't exist in the material world, they are heavenly beings where you don't need wings to fly, no more than you need a body in your dreams :-)

According to men, all angels are male. Satan is definetly in the male gender as religion is. Rev. When Satan realized (he) had been flung to the earth (he) was wroth with the women . .

No where in the Bible are angels, or any spiritual beings like cherubim (which is the order of angels for which Satan likely was), or seraphim, identified as female. On the contrary, they are, like the only Son of God - Jesus Christ, identified as male.
No offense to females....that's just what's in the Word of God.
