Both go well with most sauces, especially chunkier tomato sauces. Both are good in casseroles. For me, it depends on which I've used lately. I like looking at different shapes, so when I get bored with one, I buy another. I also like gemelli, cavatappi, and farfalle. If I'm doing a cream sauce, however, I prefer flat or non-tube shapes, and if I'm putting pasta in a soup, I buy smaller shapes.

I love "penne" pasta...the sauce goes right through each piece of pasta straight through without any trouble...I love pastas of all shapes and tastes...I usually buy "angel hair" or linguine pasta they are what I use most of the time but I always have "ziti" for a hamburger quick meal on busy days....it's all good stuff!
One last thought..I love the sound the pasta makes when you add it to the sauce..that slurping sound...it makes me CRAZY...LOL

It really depends on what dish it's going in. I like both, but I like dishes with fusilli the best. I guess it's the texture of the spirals. And if you can get the tri-color kind, the flavor is great.

Penne pasta, the bigger the pasta the better. Rigatoni is the best.

my darling why you go so far its the same pasta with other design but if you tell me wish sauce you prefer i tell you the tomato sauce with herbs and with some Parmesan cheese on top
