My hair is naturally WAVY and it gets poofy as it dries. The ends are very dry but it's kinda oily at the top if I don't shower everyday. Are there any shampoos or gels that anyone suggests for me to get silky smooth straight hair?

Dont go out and buy anything expensive.
First: Purchase a mild Shampoo (To Clarify hair, I will explain why)

Second: TRIM your hair ends (May 1 1/2 to 2 inches)

Third: Here's the magic part: Mix olive oil, almond oil, coconut oil, avocado oil and a "little" honey, (honey u will have to heat so it can blend). Either leave on ALL day or all night (if all nite, DONT use honey)

Repeat this 3-4 times a week, your hair will grow like a weed & remove all frizz and make it straighter, I promise,..... and it will be super shiny!!!!

The clairifying shampoo will help take the oil off your hair when u shower

You can find olive oil anywere, but the other oils you will have to buy at a local organics store, wholes foods or BJ's health corner.

to combat the grease try neutrogena t gel and for the poofyness try this non ironing way:
# Wash and condition hair.
# Blot dry. Hair should be almost dry when you begin.
# Gather up hair into several sections and secure or clip hair on top of your head. You will be drying the bottom layers first.
# Follow the brush (with your dryer) down the sections of hair as you straighten each section and be sure to keep the dryer moving.
# Take down a new section of hair and proceed as directed above.
# Work your way up the layers until all sections are dry and straightened.
# To curl the ends for a polished look, take your brush and pull the ends under.
Finish your styling with a blast of cool air if your hairdryer has this capability.

Paul Mitchell super skinny serum! I swear by it! It makes your hair sooo smooth & soft. It also makes your hair dry faster when you blow dry & it protects your hair from the flat iron. GREAT stuff! It's around $16 but it lasts forever because you only need a drop each time you use it. You don't want to use to much or it will feel greasy.TRY it, you'll love it!

If you want straight hair, you will need a straightener. I recommend you use anti-frizz or some sort of product that you use before blow-drying or straightening.

I had the same problem you do. I use a Ionic dryer which helps keep it from drying out while im blow drying it and I use a chi to straighten. I also use tresemme moisture rich shampoo and conditioner. But only use a very small amount of conditioner and mainly apply to ends.
