even so, your in a place where u have sick people and theres no reason to ever take anything out on anyone.
I sometimes only get a hour sleep and I still would never take it out on anyone.

Consider that nurses and doctors often work extended hours! Try working for 12 hours straight with crabby, sick people, and see how quickly you lose time to work out etc... youll be just as snippy as the nurses too!

Most people hate going to the dr so you aren't alone with that feeling.

As for looking unhealthy I read a study about this just recently in relation to the drs that are overweight and don't follow the same advice they give their patients. One of the things this study said was that most patients don't feel comfortable taking advice from drs who won't take their own advice on how to take care of themselves.

The other thing too is that drs (and nurses too such as an ER) work very long days as someone also said and sometimes because of the stress they can get sick with colds too. Some of them have to live in chronic pain from medical conditions of their own that can make each day a struggle.

But no I don't think that my drs (especially my gynecologist and my rheumatologist-I have arthritis as one of many health issues) are dumb. They are very easy for me to communicate with when it comes to how I'm feeling although sometimes yes even though I hate going to drs I get tired of it too. But these two drs of mine make the experience of having to go so often a little bit more bearable for me. They have helped me in so many ways, my gynecologist in particular. After my grandma died in Sept of 2000 at the age of 91 she and her staff sent me a basket of fruit (thru a florist of course) with a condolence card because of the loss in my family.

She helped me to get more help for my grandma in the months before my grandma died. And the one time after my grandma came out and I had to go in to my dr for a problem visit she asked how things were going and I told her. She would not let me leave til I got in touch with the hospital social worker to see if she could tell me who I needed to talk to get more help with caring for my grandma.

One time when my mom couldn't take me to one of my appts and a friend had to take me she and her staff (which was even smaller than it is now: there were 2 other people working there with her) got very worried about the fact that my mom didn't bring me. They said, "who brought you" (as I don't drive). And when I told them a friend did they were relieved.

I've been with my gynecologist for almost 10 years now.

I agree. It's hard to take advise from someone that don't follow their own.
