If it is done right in front of you..in public,then how is it done?

Oh, P.S. how is the coming out of a suitcase on stage done as well...(a whole bunch of people come of a suitcase...how do they do this?)

Of course, it's magic and the fun of it is not to know!!! Besides, you don't have a single answer for this because there are so many versions of the levitation, and every one have a method of it's own.

It's like a car: it may seem one car it's just like the other, but they really have different engines, and the mechanic is different. So, you see a magician floating (or his assistant), but the secret is unlike the other.

And no, if you're a magician you don't need to use digital effects. Magicians are performing this kind of magic for centuries, so the use of it are out of the question!

About the suitcase effect? It's an illusion. Your eyes are easily decieved by the design and lightings of the props, add the misdirection created by the performer, and you're fooled by it.

There's no need to say more, I guess.

I don't know how they completely levitate, but if you are at certain angles from a person and stand on your heels, it looks like you are hovering an inch or two.

Proper light, thin wires, black background for old Tv shows, computer fx for nowadays shows, I suppose. :-)
