Do you mean my surviving brain and personality put into somebody else's body ? Very interesting. It depends on the body. About twenty years ago there was a movie about that kind of procedure. It was called "Seconds" and starred Rock Hudson.

I think other people understood this incorrectly. A brain transplant would mean that your original body would receive a new brain, not your brain going to a new body.
After you undergo a brain transplant, "you" would no longer be you. So your view on your own existence before the transplant would no longer exist after the transplant. It would be a completely different mind. It's a little different than a heart transplant or any other organ for that matter because your brain is the only organ that thinks.
I would definitely not do this. But it is cool to think about taking your brain to a different body, so long as it is a good body.

I have a problem with your terminology. There can be no such thing as a brain transplant. "You" are your brain and would be the recipient, not the organ being transplanted. The donor would be the brain dead person into whose otherwise functioning body your brain would be surgically placed. It would be a whole body transplant with your brain as the recipient. It's an interesting concept isn't it. Perhaps someday we will be able to bioenginner cloned bodies without brains and transfer our brains into them!

Assuming you're talking about moving my brain from my old body into a younger body and living on in that flesh, yeah, I'd say I probably would. I think it would be interesting getting to live life all over again in a different body, especially with all the knowledge and wisdom I'd accumulated the first time around. It's like they say, youth is wasted on the young! When you're young, you just don't appreciate it at the time.

Like in that Robert Heinlein book? What was it called? "Fear No Evil" or something like that? Hmmmm...probably not. But when I'm 92 and dying I'll probably sing a different tune! Ha ha ha!
