Try an oatmeal shampoo and conditioner..if nothing else it will moisturize her skin and help with the itching. You can get this anywhere at any price. I like one called Nova Pearls, but it's in the midle of cheap and expensive. It's about $8 or $9 a bottle, well worth it. They also have a medicated shampoo with Coal Tar I think and Tea Tree Oil Shampoo is good too.
Here is a link, I used this on our English Bulldog because he was allergyprone and he even had ALEPECIA, a skin condition causing hair to fall out in large areas leaving him looking horrible. This brand of shampoo conditioned his skin to the point that his hair grew back and for 3 years he hasn't lost any except shedding. I used the sensitive skin, medicated, you name it,just check out the link and see what you think. On the home page you can order a catalog with a $10 coupon, but type in Nova Pearls Dog Shampoo on any search engine and it comes up at the retail stores where you can get it.You do not have to order it. Pet Supplies Plus,Pet Care Warehouse & I think PetSmart carry it. hope it helps..by the wat the salicylic acid in the dandruff shampoo is the secret to the formulas at the vet too so try Nova Pearls Dandruff Shampoo, the acid sloughs off all dead skin and cells to help rejuvenate the skin and it really brings in a beautiful coat and no more itching after a few uses!!

It could be totally unrelated to her shampoo and may be related to food alergies and/or skin conditions. I'd try getting advice from a vet on shapmoos but usually a good oatmeal based shampoo will help. Dandruff is just a symptom of dry skin so if you can add a little (say a 1/4 teaspoon) of vegetable oil or similar to her food it might help. They also have products called Lanitone that you can buy and add to her food but they can be spendy. There is also fish oil which is great and can be pretty cheap if you can find it. I know there are servel that I have seen in Petco and places like that.
Stiil, monitor her food and see what she is eating and if that seems to have anything relationship to the dandruff. Also - If you wash her too much that can dry her out too so try not to wash more than say once every couple of weeks at most and once a month is about all that is recommended for most dogs.

She is probably stressed about something. My dog develops dandruff when he goes to the vet's or goes on a long journey in the car (maybe that's just my driving). I asked a veterinary nurse about this problem and she advised me to either put a teaspoonful of cod liver oil in his food or give him a cod liver oil capsule daily. This worked wonders and now his coat shines beautifully. It also helps to keep dogs' joints supple and healthy.

Firstly, if that is your boxer dog i see with your name she is gorgeous!! Secondly you need a skin treatment for her skin, i think you are going to have to take her to the vet. She sounds like she needs some thing to moisten her skin up a bit, the more she may scratch the more she will make it worse. We suffer with dry skin conditions and she may have a condition too. Don't think you are going to be able to avoid a vets bill, be for the best. They know what there doing and will probably be able to tell you what is wrong with her and help you out straight away. Good luck. xx

I had this with my young Labrador. I took him to the vet and was told that he was having an allergic reaction to a particular food. I changed his diet from dry mix to soft tinned food and was given a special shampoo to use for a while and it worked well.
I no longer need the special shampoo but I continue with his soft diet. He is nearly 8 now and has had no further problems.

I guess you mean your chienne as female dogs are not allowed in yahhoo land..
However your b1tch has fleas and you have to also erradicate them. Shower her using a special shampoo every week, spray her with Advantage one month and something else the next, yes I know they say its good for 3 months, it aint. Do the bedding and all the house with the stuff for bedding and carpets.
The sore patches on the dog cut ALL the fur off and try to stop her scratching and put something like the pink germolene on the sores.
I hope that your dog that cannot exist in Yahoo land gets better.
