like when you pop one into your mouth, you get that fire-hot, tingling burning sensation on your tastebuds...so what causes that sensation? =D

Im not sure but do know that the seeds in the chili are what make it hot. If you take them out they wont be very hot.

It's called capzaisin. And it's all in the seeds so if you don't want all the heat just scoop out the seeds.
