what would better to buy xbox360 or ps3?

Right now the x360 is definitley king. With their console costing less than the ps3 as well as having more games available it is a better choice. The online gaming community for the x360 is also far larger and better than that of the ps3.

However the x360 is prone to overheating and there are some problems with the console scratching the cd's. The xbox 360 also does not have blue ray technology (whatever that is) and is not as advanced as the ps3, which does not seem to have any overheating problems.

Maybe in the long run the ps3 will beat the x360 but i don't see it anytime soon.

Getting to your question: if you can afford it get the ps3. The online community for it may not be as large as the x360 but it is growing, more importantly, its FREE to play online with the ps3 so that will save you some dollars in the long run.


Sony also has plans to release over 300 titles over the next business year. And with the ps3 you won't have to worry about it overheating. Besides from what i hear, in most places, Sony's customer service is better than microsoft, that is, if you need it.

PS3 because if you think about it it's a better deal. your getting a high def player (blu ray which is the better next gen format) and wifi,HDMI,digital out,blu tooth and free on line. 360 you have to buy all that stuff and it would add up to more than the PS3. MS are money grabbing. plus the 360 is old now and they still seem to break all the time. and they are having trouble with some games like GTA IV due to DVD format which is to small and some 360 gamers lack of an HDD. PS3 has blu ray built in an a built in HDD.
plus the PS3 has alot or features and alot more media and alot more connectivity. it also looks ALOT better
ohh and as for the games....they WILL get better. the upcoming games are good and 360 didn't have many good games when it came out. in fact, the 360 are loosing games.
end of the year, there will be alot more PS3 games out..wait and see
so do the right thing, stick with PlayStation, they won the last console war!

Both xbox360 and PS3 have their own features.
PS3 focuses on processor x360 on graphics memory and system memory.
x360 has a lower price and more nice games but I think you should wait till Christmas to decide because many good games will come out for the PS3 by Christmas (Sony has announced that over 150 titles are coming out including 15 exclusives) and a price cut is possible.However 360 has games in dvd-9 (over 8.4 gigs) while PS3 has its games on Blu-ray (25 gigs). Also, PS3 can play Blu-ray movies anmd 360 an optional hddvd player, however, i think that blurays will win hddvds.Also PS3 supports 1080p plus dvd upscalling.
Aaaand of course PS3 doesnt overheat

Well, may be I take games too seriously, but when I was thinking which console to buy - I made a whole analysis - came out, that PS3 is much better - technically better, free online services, no overheat problems, steady OS, much faster, etc. The only problem - lack of the games, but if you visit www.ign.com, you'll see how many games will come out very soon.

PS3. I had a 360 but it overheated all the time and was the worst money i have ever spent. The PS3 has worked since day one and it is a Blue-Ray DVD player to boot. PS3 is the way to go.

everyone says the ps3 has no games, but i got news during the summer and espically during the holidays ps3 are going to be hitting the ceiling with games...as compare the 2 systems and price here the lay out....

OVERHEATING: ps3 what over heating problem/xbox to hott?=ps3
GAMES...ps3 not to much for now/xobx360 whooo we got halo (personally i think it sucks)=xbox
GRAPHICS: ps3 hasn't came out with one outstanding game...YET/xbox 360 graphics are similar to a ps3 with a STANDARD TV.....
PRICE: ps3 600/xbox360 399 (don't know how much they are now)

I would have to say xbox 360 on that one only because its a little more affordable and personaly i like the graphics a little more on the xbox360 and if your a halo fan then you would for sure want the xbox 360 because thats the only game set its coming out for

ps3....price wise, xb360 costs u more than a ps3 in the long run, as it crashes like a normal computer and the add-ons u need to buy also to pay for online gaming.

hardware wise also its better to get ps3, it has more smarter hardware than xb360. Ps3 has 8 processors, xb360 has 3.

if wii were an option, i would pick that, but out of those 2, i would buy xbox 360 because of the price. but, if you have a hdtv, go for the ps3 if you can afford it.
