Man invented god, not the other way around.

It's better to understand the question on a personal level, because 'man' isnt just some homogenous 'thing'.

The idea of 'man' is realized within the individual "Gary Smith" or "Jane McGovern", since if there were no individuals, there could be no 'man'. Why make 'man', therefore, becomes a question of why make 'this' man or 'that' man...

That answer, therefore, also becomes personal: because this person will do this, or this person will help that person, or this person will have this affect on these others, or this person will love this other person.

Why did God make 'you'....well, because if God didn't make 'you', you wouldn't exist, which means you wouldn't be able to share in everything that also exists, good and bad. So, not only does that mean throwing out all the 'bad' in your life, it also means throwing out all the really really good stuff too: no broken dreams, but no Victoria Secret models either.

As for 'scewing' things up, you can't make a butterknife that ONLY cuts butter. If it can cut butter, it can cut paper, and it can cut styrofoam and it, unfortunately, can be used to puncture someone's windpipe as well. So, when it comes to creation, it's either all or nothing.

Now, of course, whether or not you ever ever feel the need to use a butterknife in that particular way is entirely personal, but God can't make a butterknife that can't be used that way. So, in saying 'Let there be butterknives', God says 'I accept all that it is.'

The bright side to all this is that if God knew how everything would turn out, and knew how bad everything could be, God also knew how great everything could be. Those Victoria Secret supermodels ain't wearing skimpy lingerie for nothing: they are also walking advertisements of the possibility of genetics, and fabrics, and a whole bunch of other areas.

So, it's perfectly reasonable and understandable for someone to see the world as screwed up, and that works to the advantage of good as well (can't fix a problem until you first acknowledge there is one) but if things can be/get screwed up, they can also get fixed. Besides, you really don't want to start from the idea that there is a problem so big God can't fix it. Things get messy from there.

God is a very interesting concept because he is thought to be everything and nothing all at the same time and to be everywhere and nowhere also. In the question you said that god knows all that will be which means that he knows the most likely course of action taken by anything at any given moment. God most likely saw his own action of creating humans as the most likely scenario and decided to create Adam and Eve, the start of the human race. His probable cause for interfering with Jewish history is because he foresaw what would most likely happen in the future and didn't like what he saw so he decided to keep Israel alive. God in your view can be compared to a highly advanced version of artificial intelligence. If you think about it in the way you phrased it in the question then this may someday be simulated by an extremely advanced version of artificial intelligence that runs billions of possibilities through its system and comes out with the situation that will most likely occur but this is long long way into the future.

It is really sad that so very few people even try to get to know God. He didn't know that we were going to do. Of all the creations that God made we were the only ones he regretted making. We (man) hurt his heart. How do I know that...Because he told everyone that...

Genesis 6:5-6...Consequently Jehovah saw that the badness of man was abundant in the earth and every inclination of the thoughts of his heart was only bad all the time. 6 And Jehovah felt regrets that he had made men in the earth, and he felt hurt at his heart.

Basically, he made man so that man should glorify HIM by his actions. Granted, he knew we would have screwed things up but he also tries to make us as free and make our own decisions. cos if not the whole world would be all rosy n dandy and fine. but with mans free will, he messed up. and now God has given man the way back to him, its up to man to act on it n move closer to God. N by the way, His planned destiny for adam and the whole world is that we should all leave in peace, js like in paradise, bt then man messed up by veering off that course and now he has to work his way back to HIM. not all destinies go according to plan u kno, some are interrupted along the way

He made a man to protect His creation. God gave us brain to think and decide things but still, He did not made us perfect for us to know that we need HIM. because of the "imperfect thing", there is the word "test". test that is always implied to our daily lives..

another answer....

cause God did not want 2b alone... he made man in His image and the fall of man "sin" shattered the image of God n man...

Maybe there's a bigger plan and maybe this just proves in the end we find a way to make it up to him. He will always love us and we haven't screwed up everything yet.

Eternity is a very very very very very long time. If nothing is going on It's even longer. We're here as comic relief between bird ballets, Snake dances, furry porn, whale song fests and porpoise operas.

People taught me that it was so he could see who would follow the bible, and pray to him. But it doesn't make sense if he knows who will already pray to him and follow the bible, does it? I don't get it either. That is one of the millions of ?'s I have too! Good Luck! :D

What else is there to do, it's not about god knowing everything. It's about the joy we experience by finding out those things and enjoying life ourself.

Good question!

The answer is to demonstrate his grace.

Grace is undeserved favor.

God created man to demonstrate his ability to love, unlovely creatures based on his own integrity.
