I know this question seems silly, but since I've never had a girlfriend I have yet to know what people I always see at the movie theaters and on the side of the streets are saying to one another.
When a guy is leaning into the girls ear...whispering "sweet nothings" into her ear...what pray-tell might it be about? Is it light & romantic or personal? Is there a boundary...

like a joke or usually pretty much "sweet nothings" like sometimes a guy will just say a compliment or something out of the blue, its really sweet

I don't know about others, but when it's me it is usually something like:
"Psst. I'll be right back... I just farted and accidentally pooped a little. Yeah, I gambled and lost... I'll be back in a sec... tell me what happens..."
