I am a vegetarian, and I'm not sure how to lose weight. I am 16, so the food I make for myself needs to be relatively easy... but im willing to do most anything. I'm starting an excercise program, and i want to make diet changes too. As much detail as possible would be very much appreciated.
Thanks
Addie

Hi,

I am a detox specialist and I specialize in helping people lose weight. The easiest and FASTEST way I know to lose weight is to detox.

If you would like to lose weight, I can suggest a safer or faster alternative- a detox. I myself have lost 33 pounds within 2 mths doing a detox.

My mentor also lost 15 pounds within a week doing the detox ;)

A detox is healthy because it brings balance back to your body and losing weight is just a by product of the detox. So at the end of the detox, you will find yourself get more energetic, healthier, more radiant looking as well.

Most importantly, the things I use for detox are definitely vegeterian as I am a vegeterian myself :)

And the detox is simple. All you need to do is three things.

Number one, follow the detox programme which requires you to change your diet a little bit. Eg, take more vege and less meat and seafoods.

Number two, use 1 minute a day to take some natural health foods that I take to enhance the speed and the effect of the detox.

Number three, drink lots of water to flush the toxins out..

And that's it.

The rest is up to you.

So what do you think? ;)

If you are keen to find out more about my detox programme, you can email me at verityy@yahoo.com.

Are you sure you need to lose weight? Check this website: http://apps.nccd.cdc.gov/dnpabmi/Calculator.aspx.
Just because you're vegetarian doesn't mean you're eating healthy. Cut out junk food like sweets and sodas. Start each meal with either soup or salad. Try walking about half an hour every day and build up to an hour. Make sure you're getting enough protein and that it's complementary, like combining rice with beans or peanut butter with whole wheat toast. Get a couple of teaspoons of oil a day, like olive oil on your salad, too, to make sure you stay healthy and feel full.

I am vegetarian, too. I try to keep it really simple and remember to do everything in moderation. The most important thing to remember to do every day is to eat 5 servings of vegetables. You can have 2-3 servings of fruit, too. That's my goal for each day. Some days I make it and some days...well, I do my best. Try to limit your intake of anything made with white flour and sugar. It's really best to use whole grains such as whole wheat bread and brown rice. I also limit my intake of dairy products and have replaced the milk in my lattes with soymilk.

Let yourself have a treat now and then and just try to keep it simple...5 veggies a day. That will keep you satisfied, too, so you aren't tempted to overeat on whatever might be handy like chips or cookies.

Good luck!

I recommend getting a cookbook, or searching one of the many veg websites, like vegweb.com. I went veggie at 17, which was 15 years ago, and I wish I'd learned to cook sooner! I ate a lot of canned soup and frozen dinners for a long time. I like "Vegan With a Vengeance" and "How It All Vegan" for good beginner cookbooks with yummy recipes.
If you actually do need to lose weight, try to focus on eating beans and green vegetables, rather than cheese-based stuff. It'll happen more or less automatically.

hi

I have some tips about food:
*Apples and berries contain pectin. Pectin restricts the amount of fat the cells can absorb and forces the cells to discharge fatty deposits.

*Citrus fruits contain high concentrations of Vitamin C. Vitamin C burns fat by liquefying it. This makes it easier for the body to flush fat from the system.

*Calcium in dairy products like milk, cheese, and yogurt plays an important role in weight loss by accelerating the fat breakdown in fat cells.

*Broccoli and Cabbage both contain very high quantities of calcium and Vitamin C and are full of fiber!

*Eggs are high in protein and essential in burning fat. If you are concerned about cholesterol, you can eat the white part as that is the most nutritious part of the egg.

*Garlic or garlic oil helps reduce fatty deposits in your body’s cells.

*Green Tea boosts metabolism and may aid in weight loss. It also contains anti-cancer properties and help prevent heart disease.

*Hot Peppers can speed up your metabolism. This causes you to burn more calories.

*Lean Turkey fires up the body’s fat-burning abilities by boosting metabolism and building lean muscle tissue that, in turn, burns more calories.

*Oatmeal and Whole Grains are great sources of fat-absorbing fiber that keeps the body full by providing it with energy. They also rev up the metabolism, necessary for burning fat and calories.

*Olive Oil keeps your cholesterol down and burns fat.

*Soup is a terrific appetite suppressant. Burn fat faster by having a bowl of soup as an appetizer or a snack.

*Soybeans contain lecithin, a chemical that protects your cells from accumulating fat. It also breaks down fatty deposits in your body.

Don’t forget the first rule of a good and healthy diet is to drink water, lots of water! Water flushes out the system and eliminates harmful toxins. It enables the body to run more efficiently, speeds up metabolism, and makes it easier to lose weight and burn fat. Your body is made up of 70% water and needs a lot of water each day to perform its necessary functions.

have a good day.

Be a kid once more! When eating out, order a child’s sandwich, pizza or pizza. Then you can have the treats you cherish, while reducing your portions and cutting your calorie intake.

God put animals on this earth for you to eat. When you turn it down, that really pisses him off. Remember that!
