Go into research. I did Msc and then MPhil from Delhi University and then went into information sciences. Because of that I have a good job.

Grow some killer weed?

Just kidding... you can get a job in research for virtually any cosmetic company (those natural ingredients are making a comeback!) or get a job working for a botanical garden.

You could also, with your science degree, become a research assistant for virtually any scientific testing lab. My girlfriend got her AS in Biotech, but is doing lab testing on automotive fluids; so that should tell you something about the viability and flexibility of your degree.

Hope this helps, and good luck!

sounds like you started a masters in botany without any career ideas? i admire you for that. not enough people are actually interested enough in what they study to keep going even when the future is misty. i plan to study a masters in conservation and utilisation of plant genetic resources, which is even more specialised. i guess i'll have to get a boring ordinary job for a while and keep my ear to the ground for something that will really get me going!
