And no, bible has not mentioned it. It only stated that Adam was the first human but there were probably monkeys around before Adam was there.

Then you answered your own question, However, if you are going to imply that since the monkey was here before Adam, the obviously we evolved, then I will have to disagree. The Bible also states that God Handmade Adam not that he evloved

The only reason monkeys exist today is because Noah took them on his little raft during the flood. If the bible says Adam was the first man, then he must have been the first man. He probably looked like an ape anyways. Just because he was the first man doesn't mean monkeys didn't exist prior.

According to Quran, the book of Islam, there was nothing said it was Adam as the first of creatures. Yes Adam was the first human but we do not know if he was the first of all beings.
On the other hand, God said that he created two couple from each being...but we do not know when... or may be it was mentioned and I did not notice.
I will research for this and edit my answer here when I get something new.

Peace!

Edit:
Humans not descendants of monkeys:
(32:7) "He started the creation of man from mud."

Man created from "aged" mud:
(15:28) "I am creating the human being from `aged' clay."
[23:12] We created the human being from a certain kind of mud.

[24:45] And GOD created every living creature from water. Some of them walk on their bellies, some walk on two legs, and some walk on four. GOD creates whatever He wills. GOD is Omnipotent.

There are a few species of desert monkey in the Middle East, but it was probably not until the Romans conquered Judea and brought an explosion in trade that the locals would have seen chimpanzees and other exotic primates.
So, we can forgive the original fiction writers of the Old Testament for not having sufficient data to make the primate-human connection sooner.

I'm glad we got that finally sorted!!!!! :-}

The physical creatures that inhabit earth were created first. The Holy Scriptures record twice that mankind was the completion of God's creation. It says that he created man unto Himself and that that was the sixth day, and the He rested on the seventh day. And there is a reference that Adam named all the animals; Adam was found without a mate, God said it was not good for man to be alone and He then created Eve from Adam's rib.

The Bible is not scientific. Actually it's a book of stories most far fetched but effective in scaring a lot of Hebrews from doing stupid things. Today it is just a book of nonsense mixed with tidbits of insight into the times it was written or edited.
Scientifically Man did not come from Monkeys he came from more primitive versions of man. Primates generaly Neanderthal and other pre species. The evolution took place over time. Monkeys have also evolved but differently. We know we can teach them sign language and they can communicate. They can even type. So Man and monkeys have co existed and while the Monkey may have come first no missing link seems to have ever been discovered.
