One of our cats has a bald spot on her neck it is about the size quarter. The skin is pink and there are small red dots that are not in any kind of pattern.

Take her to the vet and have them check her. They will look at it with a blue light, and if it glows green, it's ringworm!!

Yes this is very unusual. If a cat has ring worms, one of the visible signs are bald spots where ther ring worm is present. Don't worry, it can be treated, but going to a vet should be priority! Best wishes for your cat :)

Could be ringworm, mites, or an allergic reaction.

Hard to say. You also want to be careful that it isn't mange, which is a microscopic mite which causes similar symptoms to what you describe. A vet could do a scraping and tell you for sure.

could be...usually ringworm is in a ring shape though (hence the name) lol

it could just be a scab, just be careful around it and remember to always ALWAYS wash your hands arms ect. until you can get him to the vet.

athletes foot cream should clear it if your not planning on taking it to the vet

WASH YOUR HANDS!!!

no. ring worm will lose hair, be red but will have a circle shape not bumps. put neosporin on it and see if it gets better. feed her non fat plain yogurt so if its yeast it will go away.

Why are you asking unqualified strangers on the internet who have never even seen your cat, let alone examined her, instead of a vet?!

Stop being cheap. It is your cat's RIGHT BY LAW to receive proper medical care and to deny it is abuse. Stop wasting time on the internet and call your vet and make an appointment.
