Because nobody is having adultery Pride parades, or demanding that we legalize murder.

The poor we do help.

Actually, those topics also get a lot of mention from the pulpit, but strangely, not a lot of press time. For some reason, the ACLU and the NAMBL folks just don't line up to protest preachers decrying poverty, murder, and adultery. Without Jesse Jackson and a host of famous people saying "WE HAVE THE RIGHT TO SLEEP AROUND AND ROB AND KILL", the press just doesn't find sermons interesting. Go figure.

Now, when it was Bill Clinton huffily defending his right to rape, murder, and committ adultery, HE was a big hero because he was the Democratic president at the time. Ken Starr was the "bum", according to the press, for daring to investigate BC's abuse of women in his office. Then again, Ken Starr wasn't a preacher, just a lawyer.

Homosexuality is a sin according to G-d's word, just as adultery and murder and disregard for the poor are also sin.

Immorality is a sin against a person's own body. Period. Whether it is with the same sex or the opposite sex, G-d will judge that sin.

All the "political correctness" and accusations in the world won't change that fact.

If a fireman saw your house burning and didn't try to warn you or help you, what kind of fireman would he be?

If a surgeon saw an operable cancer on the x-ray but closed you back up and patted you on the back and said, "Onward Sherlock" what kind of doctor would he be?

Believers in Yeshua (Jesus) need to speak the truth in love to you. The truth is that "without holiness, no one will see the L-rd" and our own holiness is not nearly good enough.

There is a Redeemer
Jesus G-d's own son
Precious lamb of G-d, Messiah,
Holy one,

Jesus my redeemer,
Name above all names,
Precious lamb of G-d, Messiah,
Oh, for sinners slain.

Thank you oh my
Father,
For giving us Your Son,
And leaving Your spirit,
til the work on earth is done.

When I stand in glory,
I will see his face,
And there I'll serve my king forever,
In that holy place.

Thank you oh my Father,
For giving us Your son,
And leaving Your spirit,
til the work on earth is done. (Keith Green)

When you are ready to open your heart and admit your need for forgiveness and for cleansing, repent and turn to Him.

He gives peace, not as the world gives.

He gives love that is real.

Great Point!

It would be more important and fruitful to be totally against adultery child abusers etc... but those people are too hard and well the last group are sitting ducks...

I think Christians have their priorities messed up see it is not about "being against" it is about coming along side of people showing them who Jesus is (the best way to do that is by living a life according to the Bible), and loving them and allowing the Holy Spirit to show them the areas that they need to work on in their life...

Well, they are too busy fornicating, pedophiling, stealing money from the poor and letting people die from disease and medical conditions that could be cured to spend time on anything other than gay bashing.

My experience with religious right is to look at who has the loudest voice in decrying some sin. Follow that person around long enough and you will find him engaged in the vice he claims to loathe.

Whatever happened to "Let him who is without sin cast the first stone"? Oh yeah, right. The gay bashers are without sin. I get it.

I guess because they're hypocrites and really only do it for the money. I've become convinced that today's evangelicals don't really understand the Bible and preach hate because that's how they get donations.

If they really understood the Bible they'd remember that Jesus preached tolerance and forgiveness, and God claimed that only he has the right to judge or demand vengeance. Instead they do hateful things to people who want nothing more than to live in peace with the folks they love.

Why do you ask?

You have your own agenda don't you?

You are a homosexual aren't you?

Why be concerned about Christians and what they think?

Yes I can call a bean a bean and a pea a pea. Yes I can tell what will send a person to hell in light of the Word of God.

The question is can you?

You already know the all the answers you just don't like them.

Because evangelicals are human, just like the rest of us, and all humans are sinners. No matter how hard you try to be good and do the right thing, our natural instinct is to sin, and sometimes we give in to it.

Not ok for Christians to judge full-stop. "Judge not lest ye be judged". I don't see any qualification in there about judging certain things and not others, I see a very clear, very concise statement with NO room for interpretation, unlike much of the Bible.

God hates the sin, but loves the sinner. Jesus Christ will Judge all of us come Judgement Day.
