Jesus preached love, which doesn't seem to come all that often from his followers.

I know atheists, a true atheist is one of the most reasonable and curious and enlightened and conversational and pleasant people one can be around and spend time with. What you are sir/madam is a Humanist religionist. You have a very profound religious belief system and you are in the process of preaching and proselytizing right now on this forum as does the AA of A and other organizations and so on. A true Atheist would never dream of or even consider joining an organization or speaking out publicly like this or even care to because it would serve no purpose. There are no beliefs or belief systems to defend or perpetuate. You are a very confused person and you need to take a hard look at what you are calling yourself and what you believe. Why would you possibly care what christians or anyone else believes or how they conduct themselves?

.Christianity is perhaphs the only religion whose founder was crucified for his belief. The Christians were also persecuted for hundreds of years after the departure of Jesus. Mohammed Paigambar did have initially to run away(Hijr) for safety but after his triumphant return to Mecca Muslims have known no persecution as such. This persecution has had almost a 'racial' effect onChristians and anything which they feel is blasphemy brings forth a torrent of investive and abuse.Thins had deteriorated into almost a perversion during the Spanish Inquisitions when Christians had gained an upper hand. Innocent aboriginals and natives were subjected to inhuman sufferings in South America and India. We can pity the poor Christians for this cross they have been carrying on their shoulders all these years.

i will understand why atheists worry Christians. in step with danger some atheists chanced on people who suggested they have been Christians, yet do not act the way a real Christian might desire to. or perhaps atheists think of Christianity motives bigotry or hatred, which it does not ok I certainly have a difficulty with the respond i recopied above. ALL religions and ALL loss of religions reason bigotry and hatred. you're naive in case you think of they don't. What information might desire to I certainly have? - The Crusades, the place Christian adult adult males went and slaughtered total tribes of Arab human beings because of the fact they surpassed off to stay the place the Christian Holy Land grow to be. - The Westboro Baptist Church. adequate suggested. - Liberty college and their now deceased chief Jerry Falwell. His view on the worldwide grow to be bigoted. - Muslims hating Israel. - North Korea burning a Christian woman on the stake for passing out Bibles. Am I asserting that Christianity is merely perpetrating bigotry? No, they have executed a lot to help this worldwide. yet asserting they don't is ridiculous. As for the unique question, Christians make themselves everyday each and each of the time, each and every time. they might desire to be interior the limelight. i don't see many people who're Wiccan or Pagan bringing interest to themselves in a rustic based by utilizing people who have been Christian. additionally, i did not say this may well be a Christian united states. this is not.

Not all Christians totally understand how to win some one to Christ. Many think that telling people the truth will get them to realize the path they are is the wrong path. Since all Christian are about Love they love you so much they don't want to see you lost. I pray that when God is at the Door to your heart that you will be wise enough to let Him in. There can be no real peace in a persons life with out Christ.

If Atheists did not publish a book called "The God Delusion" I might be on more friendly terms with them. I never call anyone's religious belief a delusion. I never mock their intelligence. From what I have seen I would rather live in the heart of Islamic territory than in an atheistic society. Muslims have shown me much more friendship than Atheists.

there were already some really good answers to your question. Yes there is a lot of Christians that are making a bad name to "their" God; and it sounds like you were lucky to meet only those. But not all are so narrow-minded - and you know - in their teaching it actually teaches a lot about free choice, not forcing your own religion on somebody - and that's precisely what they are doing. Their God is a God of free choice - he doesn't push anybody against his/her own will to follow Him.
...So - Christians? What's up? you should read this question and think a little...

(Sorry I don't know how to write your name.)
I wouldn't tell you are going to hell. I would talk to you about theology and stuff, that we both think is interesting.
TO answer the last part yes I do think some people in God's religion are insane, more insanely I have to be in unity with them - this takes alot of work sometimes.

yes, i do think that sometimes...they just aren't acting as they should. i don't think condemning and judging is wrong. even though i believe that someone who isn't saved will in fact go to hell, i don't think it's right to codemn like that. rather, they should take on a more christian attitude and at least try to talk to that person about jesus christ, not merely say they're going to hell.

Actually yes, I think that to myself quite often.
And if you told me that I wouldn't say you were going to hell.
I was told I was going to hell before for disagreeing with the president.
I think some people just like condemning people to hell. It makes them feel special.
