I'm going to a festival next week, and my two piercings in the ear haven't healed yet. What can I do to protect them from the dangers of a dirty, disgusting festival?

Hmm.. I'd want to be extra careful with piercings as not to rip them out. Bring a travel sized hand santizer to keep area clean and a few paper towels. Put some bacitracin in the car for after show and you should be fine.

OK first of all no hand sanitizer on the piercing it is loaded with alcohol wich is bad for piercings!!! No Bacitracin either, ask your doctor how he or she feels about putting bacitracin on a puncture wound, I'll bet your doc would say absolutely not.
Anyway on to the best way to keep it clean and safe at a festival of any variety...Get a can of sterile saline wound wash (not contact saline) you can find this in the first aid aisle of most drug stores, and it was designed for puncture wounds. Spary that on every 3-4 hours and leave it alone. If you are concerned about the piercing getting ripped out or bumped into then sadly your best defense is a band-aid which is difficult on the ear.
I hope that helps you and have a good time!

okay so if you wanna put in the time and devotion you can bring your solution and moist towlettes and handle it every hour or so in the portapottys or you can do the pit side sanitation witch is purell hand sanitizer apply to pierceing its quick dry and really easy so you can mosh and avoid kieloids at the same time so rock on and have fun... much heart...peace
