I've heard that too, but today there is not as much occurence of the worms in pork meat as years ago. That is one reason why you have to thoroughly cook pork meat, or avoid it altogether. Germans eat a lot of pork, probably as much as we eat beef or chicken, and back in the day they actually had to check their poo for worms regularly because they ate so much pork, and it was passed on to them from the pig meat (most likely undercooked). The toilets even look different, so that it makes it easier to inspect in order to tell if you're infected or not. Gross, but true.

No that's not true if that were true we would find some pieces of the worms when we eat the pork, and it would make us really sick and that's a serious health hazard so if that were possible we would not be allowed to eat pork like we do now and it would not be as widely available as it is, pig are given dewormer as a part of there diets.

I have been cooking our Easter ham in coke for years and have never seen nor heard of such a thing I think this originally came from a nigella recipe have a go at it. I think you will like it For the Ham: 1 (4 1/4 to 4 1/2-pound) bone in ham 1 onion, peeled, cut in 1/2 1 (2-liter) bottle cola (recommended: Coca-Cola) For the Glaze: 1 handful cloves 1 heaping tablespoon molasses 2 teaspoons English mustard powder 2 tablespoons granulated brown sugar Peel and cut 1 onion in half. To a large pot or Dutch oven, place ham, the onion and pour over top, the 2 liter bottle of coca-cola. On a medium-high heat, allow to cola to come to a boil. Reduce heat to medium-low and cover, not tightly with lid, and allow to cook for 2 1/2 hours. It is 1 hour for every 2 pounds. Preheat oven to 500 degrees F. For the Glaze: Pull the ham from the pot, and allow to rest on a cutting board reserving the cooking liquid. Using a sharp knife, trim the skin, leaving a thin layer of fat on the ham. Using the knife, score the fat diagonally into large diamond cut.. In each diamond pierce the fat with 1 clove. Spread the molasses over the meat. Gently pat the powdered mustard and sugar around the meat, so it sticks to the molasses. Line a roasting pan with aluminum foil. Gently place the ham in the roasting pan. Cook the ham for about 10 minutes or until glaze is burnished and bubbly. For braising the ham in advance and then letting the ham cool, take ham from the refrigerator, glaze it according to the recipe, and give it 30 to 40 minutes to sit at room temperature. Place in a 350 degree F oven for 30 to 40 minutes, then turning up the heat if you think it needs a more crispy exterior.

no there is no worms in pork and if there is it mean it has been exposed to the air and that bugs or microrganisms have left their eggs there. but ther is one thing i know is for any type of meat it should be cooked properly to kill all the bugs, germs and bacteria in it and if that doesn't work your stomach contains a very acidic acid which will kill all the organism and bacteria .

I wouldn't say that there are worms in every piece of meat, but you need to cook it thouroghly just to be safe! If you cook it properly, even if there are worms in it, you will kill it and it will be safe. You can get worms from eating fish, pork, and beef. If you cook it properly, you don't need to worry about getting worms from it!

You may be thinking about trichinosis, which is now a fairly rare occurrence. This is due to corn fed pork. You should always cook pork thoroughly. That does not mean it has to be dry just well cooked to medium.
