A thinking question for you….?

Question

If God Created Adam and Eve and spoke to them and their Children after they were created, and they knew that he was their God and creator, (for the Old Testament tells us that God spoke to them and vice versa), why are there so many conflicting beliefs and religions of God today?

Since there are some responses that state that “God no longer walked and talked with them face to face”, why then did he speak to and protect Cain from harm after he killed Abel? It is my understanding from the Bible that Eve gave birth to her Children outside of the Garden of Eden.

Eve did give birth after she and Adam were cast out of the Garden of Eden.
The bible tells us that Jehovah talked with Adam about the breezy part of the day , through an angel of course.

The reason for so many religions is that they want to break free from what God commands and only believe what they choose.

Hi. One thing doesn't have to do with the other. The fact that Jehovah God did speak to Adam and Eve has nothing to do with there being so many false religions that have confused so many today and is the main cause that so many people have been misled.

Since God's creation of mankind (Adam & Eve) who has been trying to intefere with that creation? Who has created the first lie and the first seed of doubt? Satan has, so quite obviously he is going to do anything he can to destroy anything to do with God. The first thing he did was put a doubt in Eve's mind, and tricked her by causing a serpent to "speak to her". He also is in the inventor of the first lie. He told her "surely you will NOT die if you eat of the tree of knowledge" but what had God told both her and Adam before this? It was a perfect and well understood instruction he gave to them not to eat of that tree, but they both subsequently did anyway.

Since we know Satan grew jealous of God's creation of humans in the earth and the fact that they were worshipping God, then why should anyone assume that he stopped there? Satan is the cause of planting lies and other seeds of doubt into humans even until this day so this is why we have many false religions and such blasphemy against our creator.

Mankind has also, as the days grow longer, become more and more rebellious, drawing further away from true Godly teachings and standards. Peter warned about ones entering the congregations as sheep but really being like wolves down deep to change the truthful teachings and true Biblical writings, and this has been the case down to this day.

We have Mohammed (Islam religion), Baptist, Catholicism, atheism, Mormonism, Penticostel, Buddism, and a slue of other false religions that have digressed from truthful Bible records and/or teachings. We not only have wicked men to thank for this but also Satan is behind the false teachings.

Since Satan knows he has but a little time left after having been cast down to this earth in 1914 with his demons when the heavens were cleansed, that has been his mission; to mislead all of mankind and he does so namely with false religion (just look at all the false religious leaders, even the televanglists), politics, fornication, adultery, film and television violence and immorality in entertainment, blasphemy, drunkeness, liars, homosexuality, and the list goes on and on.

We can blame Satan for much of the badness in the world today as he's working furiously to bring confusion and wickedness at an alarming rate, but mankind, and most of mankind's wantonness to stray away from truthful godly including Bible standards is a sure sign that many mock God and don't want to live by his perfect instruction. As a result here we are today in this tired old, wicked and misguided world we live in. This is why we desperately need Armageddon and at the rate the badness in the world is heaping, that day is not far off.

Sin happened. After Adam and Eve sinned, God no longer walked and talked with them face to face. God will not look on sin. The line of communication was broken between God and the creation. Satan who lives here on earth, has control of humans until we break away and choose the creator once more. Satan is the father of lies. Since God no longer speaks audibly to humans, The only source for knowing what we need to know is the bible. However, Satan, using his powers of deception, has created confusion even with Holy writings. People will interpret a passage one way and someone else another. Satan also tells people that there is no God and that they can create their own gods. That is how Idolatry began. One must ask the Holy Sprit to guide and teach when studying the bible. It is because things happened so long ago, some bits and pieces of stories get passed through word of mouth and the texts got updated and written several times over two millenia. Same as stories and historical aspects of all other important events in the history of mankind, when they were first spoken and then put into written form, with slight variations of language translation, accuracy in transmission of facts, and so on.

But i won't bother much about 'conflicting' things as they always happen in life. Just master the contents in the Bible so that you can answer any exam questions fully and score well.

Once you doubt too much it is not healthy or meaningful anymore cause your faith will be reduced. It's ok if you r a non-Christian and harbour many doubts and debate about them for the sheer pleasure of debating. There r so many things good about the Bible, written in beautiful English and teaching all the wonderful values that the young can benefit.

Because what Satan introduced in Eden was a rejection of God's rulership and therefore false religion. After the flood of Noah's day, Nimrod was mislead by Satan and again introduced false religion to the human family. This was spread across the globe when the languages were confused and each group went it's own way to establish their own communities. They brought false worship along with them.

Have you ever told a story to someone...and then you hear them tell someone else and they've got the details a little off. And then a few days later you hear someone telling someone else the same story but it's WAY different than it started?

That's what happened. Think of the teachings getting passed down for all these years...people are going to translate them the best they can, but also we're human and we're going to change things to make them sound better or make them easier to remember. Depending on the branch they probably all started out the same thing and then got changed over the many many years they've been around.

I think it is like playing the game "telephone". Remember sitting in a circle as a little kid andhaving to whisper in someone's ear and then they have to pass on the message by whispering to their neighbor. And then at the end the message is totally screwed up.
Well same thing here. I think people kept passing on a story and as it was passed it was changed and then people argued about what the original story really was. And this happened before people were able to write words down. And then continued as people started writing.
Every issue will always have debate.
