I weigh 142 pounds, female and i am 14 and 5'6 is that overweight or what??

OK - first of all you are 14 and still in the process of growing into an adult. Activity + diet + heritage all effect your physical appearance right now. If you want to know the "standard" go to " http://www.pyramid.gov " it is an FDA USA web site that you type your information into and it gives you advice based on statics. I would also advise you to look at your family and see what they looked like at your age - it will help you better understand how your real "type" develops over time. Be patient you will be fabulous!

You would have a Body Mass Index of 23. This is well within the healthy weight range. You want to aim for between 20-25 as healthy, and you are smack in the middle.

That is so NOT overweight!! That is the normal weight for a person who is 5'6 according to this website:
