First, no-one sprinkles people. The original Christian Church, the Catholic Church, has two forms of baptism, both of which have existed since apostolic times - pouring water over the head of the person, and full immersion.
The apostles lived and preached in a desert land. In many of the towns where they preached and made converts, there was no water for many miles escept the town well. that's what they used to baptize people - a bucket of water from the well.
Also, the passage about Jesus' baptism does not describe immersion. It says he went down into the river ... John baptized him (no mention of how) ... and then he came up out of the water, onto dry land. Why would he stay in the water after the baptism was finished??

All people in the bible were adults or at least old enough to be baptized into repentance. They were all immersed. No sprinkling done in the bible. That form of baptism was invented by the Roman Catholic Church. It was considered unhealthy and downright deadly to immerse ones self in water during the dark ages. Therefore, in order to get people baptized at all they had to sprinkle. Not a true form of baptism in my book but a tradition of the church. During the reformation, immersion baptism was mandated once more and most protestant churches dunk instead of sprinkle. Hope this helps.

Christ was baptized by immersion - which is going fully under the water. Sprinkling is not of the Bible, but the Bible also doesn't mention celibacy, nuns, granting people sainthood, clicking beads to pray, offering prayers to Christ's mother, etc. These are only a few examples of how religion has become corrupt from Christ's original church.

There isn't anything on sprinkling.. I don't know where that came from.. I personally think it's a flawed idea.. To be a christian mean to strive to be Christ like.. Christ was older and knew what he was doing when he was baptized.. It was his choice.. A baby is not old enough to know better or make the choice for them self, so in my eyes it really doesn't mean much.. Other then it might just be a symbol of the babies future hopes when it comes to religion...

Sprinkle, Immersion, Baptised, Not Baptised; It doesn't matter. All God commands us to do, is simply: "Believe in the One whom I've sent." Water Baptism is not necessary to enter the kingdom of God. Once you believe Christ Jesus is God and ask Him to forgive you for your disobedience, the blood that Christ Jesus shed at Calvary, is the only Baptism we need to be saved. Water Baptism is only symbolic of our belonging to the family of God. Christ Jesus' blood is what saves us and washes us from sin. The entire Old Testament and New Testament Scriptures, point to the personage of Christ Jesus as our Hope and our Salvation, not baptism.
The Holy Spirit causes us to repent. The Holy Spirit causes us to do good works. The Holy Spirit gives us wisdom and knowledge that lead to repentance. Our ceremonial offerings and cleansings, apart from Christ Jesus, are meaningless.
Give God ALL the Glory, we are but dust and have no strength to save ourselves. Trust in Jesus. His blood covers all our sins and cleanses us better than anything we can do in our own strength.
Praise The Holy Lamb Of God !!!!

No. Jesus Christ was baptized by immersion, not sprinkling. There is a symbol in this. The natural man, the part of us that wants to sin dies and is buried, just as we are buried in the water when we are baptized by immersion. We rise up, just as Jesus Christ was resurrected, clean and pure. The bible does not mention sprinkling.

Moses sprinkled Blood on the people of Israel.
Exodus 24:8 And Moses took the blood, and sprinkled [it] on the people, and said, Behold the blood of the covenant, which the LORD hath made with you concerning all these words.

There isn't . But it is not the process of how its done. But the word of God that makes it so. It isn't anything that Christians should make an issue out of. Take a dying man, who's never been baptized, decides He wants to be baptized before he closes his eyes for the final time. Please don't tell me you would carry him to the river and dunk him ! The flesh profits nothing, it is in word and spirit we must worship.

There isn't. That is a man made doctrine that has nothing to do with the Bible. You will never find it in the Bible. The only type of baptism is by immersion in water, at least that is the only type God ordained in His Word.

It's just a different interpretation. The idea is to use water in a holy way, and what you believe at the time is the important thing.
