I had knee problems ever since i was like 5 years,it just came outta the blue and hit me making my knees weak and hurt to move. This happen usually at least 3 times a month(i usually stopped the pain with some icyhot or other athlete cream and bandages and never went to a doctor) and continued until i was 13,which it suddenly stopped.Until recently the pain started to come back, what is causing this, and should i go to the doctor?

go see an orthopedic doctor...maybe they can help.. and try exercising the knee... swimming is a good choice because the resistance of the water is good for the joints. it doesn't have to be vigorous swimming.. it can be just treading water...don't overwork it either :) if it cramps, put a heat pack over it to relax the muscles.. don't put on an icepack or it will only tense up more! hope your knee gets better : )

My first choice would be an orthopedic surgeon. He will take X-Rays first, then if necessary an arthroscope to see what's going on in there, then he'll let you know what he thinks of course.
