I have a theory that the adam and eve creation story was God's simple way of explaining the complicated process to the people of that time. He needed a way to tell the people that had no concept of science a story that they would understand.

So i believe in both evolution and the bible

EXCELLENT!! Too bad the lemmings of the RRR Cult are too bone-ignorant to realize that!

Sorry, Adam and Eve is an allegory, I don't even think its about the creation of life , its about the evolution of man's civilization, growing up , losing innocence understanding and accepting reality (something you should be doing).

Your point of view makes some sense, except it was not a story created by God, but by men.

incredibly, by ability of definition you won't be able to have creationism and evolution. What i anticipate you're saying is that God had a hand in evolution, which isn't creationism. I settle for evolution using fact it truly is the only explanation which may even remotely be defined with technological understanding. And it truly is definitely shown with technological understanding.

Something to consider:
God created land animals and man on day 6 of creation.
God said everything was good----there was no death or disease................until Adam sinned.
So there could not have been dead animals or fossils before that. So animals were not around millions of years before that.

Believing molecules to man evolution requires more faith than to believe in God as Creator of man. Life cannot come from non-life. There can be adaptation within species but not one organism changing into an entirely different organism. There is no reliable evidence for this----all so called transitional fossils are questionable.

The fossil evidence we have today, fits the Biblical account of Creation.

As do I, though I had never thought about it in the way that you do. I always figured that evolution is the best way we have of explaining how God created everything. So unless scientists give me a better or an actually proven theory on how we came to be, I'll stick with evolution.

Okey dokey then.

I still don't get why God would feel the need to tell us the earth (and plants, too, btw) was created BEFORE the sun and stars?

What, people couldn't understand that it happened the other way around? That the sun and stars are far older than the earth?

Do we chalk that up to having "no concept of science" too?

It "could" be a creator god using evolution to create, yes.

"Is it possible," is not the only question, however... "Is it likely," is another, and far more important since some pretty ridiculous things are "possible".

If you truly believe in evolution, then you cannot believe in the bible. Here's the thing; either accept the bible as it is, or reject it in total. You can't be picking and choosing and making up your own version as you go along. Either it's the word of god or it isn't.

As it turns out, it isn't. There is no god. Evolution is 100% incompatible with god and the bible, and you're just kidding yourself if you think they are somehow compatible.

Hmm, I just posted about this.

I believe that God created the heavens and the earth, drew the land from the sea, made light, man, and animals. But just because God is perfect does not mean His creations are.

Maybe evolution is the process in which God uses to make his creations better and better throughout time. Constantly updating us like apple or dell do with their computers.

Hmmm....maybe we should start a new branch of Christiandom and preach this theory.....

email me if you're interested ;)

you cant believe in both if the bible does not say what it means than what does it say. if you believe in that you are miss informed read about gods character what you say is calling God a liar and therefore negating his perfectness and his sovereignty and then we cant trust any thing he has told us in the Bible. research Creation And evolution stack then side by side and every thing about evolution can be disproved by science itself.

Well that's EXACTLY what a lot of the Bible is... Allegories in simple language that help explain complex concepts.
