Let me start off by saying that I am a REALLY REALLY nice person, I help people when I can, I'm not mean to people...
But I just really don't care what happens to people, I did not cry at my dad funeral, I dont care about things that everyone I know cares about, I don't feel the need to go to funerals and say "goodbye"...When people tell me about how depressed they are for whatever reason, I just don't care, I just see them as being weak and wish they would stop bugging me about it.
I have a basic non-caring attitude about pretty much everything in life...
Anyone else out there feel this way?

I'm not sure If I've always felt this way or not....I do remember almost crying at my grandma's funeral when I was like 8...but only because other people were crying and I felt obligated...

Well, my husband is like this too. A good person but has no conscience. He says he knows right and wrong, but if he ever chose to kill someone it wouldn't bother him.

You sound pretty depressed. Have you always been down like this, or is this something recent? Was there a trigger event, or can't you recall a time when you didn't feel this way? Maybe you're just a Capricorn. If so, you'll lighten as you mature. Meanwhile, does this condition you're in bother you? Do you suffer from this; does your lack of feeling for people include yourself; do you want to injure or neglect yourself because of this??? If so, take this to a professional. Soon.

I would say there's something wrong with the picture, personally. If you didnt cry at your dad's funeral, and you were on generally good terms, there's some serious mental blockage you got goin on. It may protect you from the bad, but what if you won the lottery, or found that perfect someone? Would you feel happy?
If not, I recommend going out with some friends and figuring out whats wrong, or seeing a shrink.

Well, I don't think you will take offense to this, since you don't give a crap about anything.... but I have watched many
documentaries showing notorious serial killers that have said very similar things (about having no conscience, not caring about any of their victims or having any remorse).
Tommy Lynn Sells and BTK are two well-known examples.
So, in my opinion, no it is not really normal (or healthy) to feel that way.
I'm not saying you're going to go kill anybody, by the way, but just as far as feeling the way that you describe.... no, I don't think that's really normal.

maybe your family and friends haven't been close to you in any sort of way, if you had sex with a girl and had a son of your own and he got hit by a car and died do you think that would make you feel something? on a scale of 1-10 1 being very sensitive and 10 being very insensitive you are probably 8 or higher i'm sure there are many like you at different times in their life, you may become more sensitive later on in your life, i don't think you are that abnormal. i am insensitive sometimes and i think many others are too

No, it's not normal and it's not healthy...it's called Dissociation
A psychological separation of "splitting off"; an intrapsychic defensive process, which operates automatically and unconsciously. Through its operation, emotional significance and affect are separated and detached from an idea, situation, or object. A psychological defense mechanism in which specific, anxiety-provoking thoughts, emotions, or physical sensations are separated from the rest of the psyche.

Lack of conscience is, if I remember correctly, mainly a symptom of antisocial personality disorder. Antisocials are usually very malicious, though, so you may just have a very slight case of it.

After so many years of putting up with people and their **** sooner or later you learn to just drown them out. That's what happened to me.
