At my grad party i covered my ceiling (which had water damage badly) with a table cloth, it covered the whole ceiling, and had class of 2004 on the ceiling, made an interesting center piece in the end, that was the talk of everything at the party..plus it it is easy to put up..little bit of double sided sticky tape, and easy to remove, plus it is extremely cheap as most grad stuff is going on sale soon, if not already on sale

Tack white sheets or drop cloths to the ceiling so that they drape nicely and create a "new" ceiling. You want it to be baggy so that you aren't worried about it being perfect or even. Then, as someone mentioned earlier, direct your lighting downward. Make it part of the decor rather than a fix for the ceiling. Don't even mention that the ceiling is damaged!

I think a Good Idea would be some graduation wrapping paper, especially if your decorating that room you can have balloons hanging from the ceiling and i think putting some of that graduation wrapping paper up would be a good camoflauge, hope I could give u an idea:)

You can purchase a small ceiling fan or light fixture and place over the damaged area. Also spot lighting on different fixtures or furniture will take the wandering eyes off of he ceiling and put he emphasis on the items you have spot lighted. Maybe hang a dart board and put spot lights on the game.

Maybe you could put a table cloth over it and use it as a decorative ceiling....Or cover it with a white {or whatever color} plastic-like table cloth and hang decorations from it, so the attention is focused on the hangings and not the ceiling

At least get a piece of cheap material and nail it over the hole. Then get a bunch of helium filled balloons and let them frloat from the ceiling. If you have enough of them, the patch shouldn't be as visible.

Hang a ton of streamers all over the ceiling and a ton over that spot, and no one will know the difference!! You can get them at a party sort or probably even wal-mart.

Get some thing on some tall polls like a canopy or something that'll mostly hide it...make it dark up there too...like make sure all the light is focused down toward the floor.
