I believe it's in the book of Hebrews that the verse reads, "in days of old, God spoke to us through the prophets, but now through His son....". I believe this indicates Jesus was the final prophet. Final (and only) son of God, savior, everything. There may be people that can get a word from God for another (Corinthians does list prophecy as a gift of the spirit), but in the vein of prophets of the bible, Moses, Isaiah, etc., no, I do not believe there are modern day prophets.

None are presently in physical body!

The lineage of Gods Prophets has been completed, and has been sealed.

Although if a human wishes to communicate with any or all of Gods Prophets, one must go into the innermost chamber of the heart, for that is where they all dwell.

The heart of man contains many secrets and should be examined more closely by mankind! That would be a good thing!

When Jesus (PBUH) returns, and this is a certainty, many that call themselves Christians and true believers will indeed be gnashing their teeth. I feel for these Souls!

Absolutely! God has said that He is no respecter of persons. He loves his children now just as much as He did then. He will still answer our prayers for the truth if we ask. There are prophets on the Earth, who are, just as Moses or Abraham of old there to lead and guide the Children of God (everyone, by the way!) back into HIs presence. I know, because I have prayed and felt that it is right with every fiber of my being, that Gordon B. Hinckley is a prophet. Ask the Lord, he'll confirm it to you too. James 1:5 says that, "If any of you lack wisdom let him ask of God who giveth to all men liberally and upbraideth not. But let him ask in faith, nothing wavering." If you ask with all of your heart, you will know the answer. You may know the truth of all things through prayer. God will answer.

Yes, I believe so a good one to notice would be Kim Clement
he prophesied about many events that came to pass already and he has an interesting post about the next election..I have seen him a couple of times during my walk and he calls out the names of the people he has a word of knowlege for.. I don't take it to heart until I see or here the result ... But if his prophecy comes to pass it will be an eye opener for sure! I am out of the loop so I don't remember anyone else I have heard or know if anyone else is around...

If he isn't a prophet then he sure has a powerful gift of prophecy........ Gifts: study them ask for them and you may receive one or more! I have the gift of healing and others also!

I might consider Pope John Paul, and Mother Teresa a prophets in many ways. Doing good to others and God's will. There are some other people I am sure..in churches.

We believe that we have a prophet that leads our church today. Never once did Christ say that all prophecy or having prophets was over.

We believe that Gordon B. Hinkley is the prophet, called by God, to lead this church right now.

Muhammad(pbuh) was Allah's final prophet. There will be no more prophets. The Quran is the words of Allah and mankind must study the Quran and the life of the prophet in order to recieve guidance.

Preachers of the gospel of Jesus Christ are prophets today. It's difficult to weed out the false ones from the real ones. God can help us do this.

No, Muhammad was the last Prophet, and he had the mark of the seal of the Prophets on his back.

The Qur'an is preserved as a guidance for mankind, and the Ulama are inheritors of the Prophets in terms of knowledge.
