Depends. If you're doing cardio, run on an empty stomach. Your body has no food to convert into energy, so it goes into fat-burning mode. Research has shown that doing cardio exercises in the morning burns as much as 300% more fat compared to doing it any other time.

On the other hand, if you plan to lift weights, eat something an hour or so prior to the workout. You cannot lift heavy with good technique when you have not eaten anything.

it's better to exercise in the morning on an EMPTY stomach, soon as you wake up, get yourself ready to work out. Don't wait too long or you will be hungry. Working out on an empty stomach is better b/c you will be burning fat/calories from what you ate the previous day.

you never want to exercise first thing in the am on an empty stomach it is extremely catabolic and does not equate to greater losses of body fat. the body is already in a catabolic state after the nightly fast. exercising in this state only causes catabolic hormones to elevate even higher. this means that it will take longer for the body to return to an anabolic state where lipid metabolism is elevated.

from what i kno, its better to eat no later than a hour after you wake up; exercise 30min a day...any time of the day as long as you can get 30min! but eat 6 meals a day...not BIG..but small. ex: breakfast, snack, lunch, snack, dinner.... but remember to eat healthy!!!! hope this helps... oh and exercise whenever YOU think is best for urself!

exercise on an mt stomach. this gets ure metabolism going. then eat breakfast & ure body will consume it.

small breakfast......ok the word breakfast......break your fast...while sleeping your body does not get to eat so when you wake up and eat it starts up your metabolism. your metabolism is what burns calories. so you want it working.
